Anyone know a good home for this pet? He currently lives in the Northwood neighborhood. If you’re interested I’ll pass your info on to the owner.

As much as we hoped it wouldn’t come to this, we are starting to look into re-homing our dog. We got him in January as a service dog for our daughter and it’s not quite working out how everyone had hoped.

He was formerly an adult mobility dog and then became an emotional support dog. The emotional support traits stuck and we haven’t been able to return him to mobility services. He’s 6 1/2 so he’s at retirement age anyway. We tried keeping him as a pet but with school age kids and working parents he’s just not getting the love and attention he deserves.

His name is Chance and he’s a dainty 120 lb pure bread Newfoundland. He was neutered earlier this year. He’s an absolute sweetheart and if you know the rigors a trained service dog goes through get certified you’ll understand what makes this dog so special.

Our family was hoping to keep him in the neighborhood so we may get the occasional chance to say hi and see him out for a well loved walk every now and again. If you think you can provide a loving home and are interested in making this big guy part of your family please message me and we can discuss further.
