Tyr is checked in and hopefully boarded!! I’ve had an absolutely wonderful trip! And I’m in total awe of how EASY the Sila is!! There are definite personalities- and Tyr is the calmest of them all. He went to visit my cousin and her husband, walked off leash with us in the wine orchards, climbed stairs for the first time, slept inside with me- and stayed on the floor! No messes, no barking, just a calm secure dog that is so observant and doesn’t miss a thing!! I can’t wait to have Scott meet him- thank you! Best Christmas gift ever!! ❤️❤️❤️

Had the most amazing day- topped only by an amazing night- so photo dump big time!!
Took my time driving - channeled my dad and decided to satisfy my curiosity and see some parts of Italy I’ve not driven through. Then had to drive over and down the mountains- only to drive back up again!!

I’m in Italy!! Meeting our new dog today. Took a wrong turn driving through Bergamo but found JUST what I needed! Tyr now has a collar and leash, a water/food dish for the hotel and pads and a comfy rug for his crate while flying. So excited to meet him!

When our dogs are home- they are just..home!! They do whatever they always do and are good at making things run smoothly.
So when we took BamBam on a job interview today- he just blew us all away and I’m SO proud.

He went to a different farm with sheep, chickens, goats- he didn’t raise a brow although new to him, several new cats- ok some chasing occurred but that’s what our cats taught him!! When they stop he stops- when they run he runs after- 🤪. 4 big horses looked at him when he rounded a corner- he stopped - thought they were big and walked away. He met 5 new dogs - not all at the same time- one who was intent on being the boss! He took everything in stride and when youth and kids came- he was at his best with wagging tail and a big smile. He was so content being admired and was so happy he didn’t want to leave and come with me home.

I think he aced his job application as therapy dog/guard dog for sheep! I can’t think of a better place for him- while only being 20 minutes away so he can work on being a daddy when time is right!

Julie- who is Echo’s mom - just sent me these pictures! She’s been telling me what a great job Echo’s doing standing between her lambs and coyotes and alerting to the coyotes around them. He is big and fierce- AND also SO sweet!! This big guy still is a big mush and he still loves his “baby” when he’s inside!

A while back after Apelle got neutered he also got a new home. For us- each dog is like a family member- and we often get pictures and much loved updates on them all.
This past week Apelle came back to us while his new parents had a much deserved vacation. Apelle was happy to see me, the other dogs and the farm in general- but he was thrilled when his new mom came to pick him back up. The feeling of seeing “your” dogs living happy lives- and hearing all their stories- makes up big time for the heart break of seeing them leave!

Our BamBam is getting VERY interested in Calabria who went into heat a couple of days ago. With all the things that have gone wrong so far breeding wise- I barely dare to whisper “puppies” out of fear these two first time parents won’t figure it out!! But I’m sooo excited! 🤞🙏

My big goofy boy! He acts like that big cone is nothing- lol and of course bangs into everything. His motto seems to be “go faster and harder and nothing will stop me”!
He’s feeling good after surgery and although he’s great inside he’s very happy to go out and prefers to stay outside. Soon!
