Congratulations to Karen D’Lauro and Diamond Striker on their move up to Training Level AND landing in THIRD PLACE!!
There is so much work that happens between these competitions and it really paid off for Karen. She was forced into Dressage Jail for a little while to remind Striker that Karate is not part of a dressage test. But now they’re out of jail and looking fabulous!! Someone get her a GSH hat to wear! 😉 So happy!! Go Karen! ❤️

I genuinely feel like everybody has something to offer when it comes to coaching. It takes a really special talent to be good at coaching, but I think if you have eyes on the ground you should take advantage of them! 👀
In this video, Cowboy Jack (who is only 4 years old) was helping me with my flying changes being late. They are either half a stride or a whole stride late behind.🫣 I had Jack help me count a rhythm. It’s easy when you’re riding on your own, to change your “rhythm counting” to accommodate your horse. But when someone else is counting WITH you, you can’t change it!
And BAM!!! Clean flying changes on The Boss! Thank you Cowboy Jack!! 😘😘

What a great ride! This is such an excellent example of how show results don’t always prove where you stand with your training at home. It’s sometimes your luck against another person’s luck. These fences are set at prelim height and Alicia makes them look like nothing! Great job!! So proud!

Congrats to our new working student Ezy on going to his first ever XC schooling with us and being a total rockstar!! This kid works so hard and is such a natural athlete! I LOVE coaching him and bringing another gentleman rider through the levels! He’s only been riding for a year and has taken a handful of lessons with us at GSH.
Watch for Ezy to be out competing with us (and probably beating all of us) next season! Woohoo! 💪 🤩😎

Assistant Trainer Jebb Simpson put in a training ride on one of our lesson horses Gentry Fuzz. He’s pretty fancy when you give him a chance to figure it out! Jebb did such a great job with him that I’d like to put some more rides on him to tune him up after being used in our program for a couple years.
It’s so important to keep your horses tuned up by a pro, and Fuzz is a great example of that. He’s a completely different horse when you give him correct instructions. I’d love to see him move up the levels with someone! He’s got a fantastic jump too! 😍 🐴
