I am sitting here thinking how every year I dreaded the 4th of July because Timber was scared to death of the fireworks. I hated that he was so afraid of them. He would shake and hide. We would always make a safe place for him in the basement with loud music, hoping to drown out the noise. The fireworks bothered him for weeks after. He wouldn't go out in the dark because he associated the dark with fireworks. I hated it, I hated it for him.

This was our 4th of July family photo last year. I didn't know this would be our last 4th of July with him. I still miss him just as much as when he left. 💕

Hug your dogs a little more and know if your dog is scared, you're not alone. Try to find a dark, quiet room for them with a fan and put some music or sound machine on

I wish fireworks didn't exist for the animals and veterans with ptsd sake.

Have a great 4th, and please remember to keep your dogs indoors and safe 🇺🇸

About Kerri

Hi, I am Kerri. I am married to my lovely husband Levi who is very supportive of my obsession and love for dogs and animals. We have 3 furkids. Harper who is on the far left, she is a 2 year old pyrenees, husky, lab mix. Hazel is on the right and she is 7 years old and is a beagle mix. Timber is in the middle he is 4 years old and he is a husky, shepherd mix. We also have 24 chickens whose eggs I use to make my treats, so they are farm fresh and cage free!

I have always had a love for animals especially dogs growing up, but as I grew older that love deepened. So I decided to start my own dog bakery from my home to make sure I know what goes into my dogs’ treats and to help others. With so many pet food and treat recalls on the market, it gets scary trying to make a decision on what is best or good for your dogs.

Our bakery items are made fresh with simple, natural, human grade ingredients and preservative and sugar free! Our treats are made in small batches to ensure quality.
