So sorry I haven’t posted in awhile! Been up to my eyeballs in baby rats, goats, and chickens 😅 enjoy this video of sprout’s little beans ❤️ they’re becoming quite the little explorers and will be ready to go in 5 weeks!
Can’t have nothing to myself in this house 🙄 little ratty thief
The boys got to do some pea fishing today 🐀🎣
You wanna see your rats go nuts? Give them a hard boiled egg 😂
So sorry for not posting last night! But we have our winner!! Congrats, send me a pm to collect your prize 😁❤️🏅🏅🏅
The mess in question and the one who made it at the end 😂❤️
Sage leading the way, showing everybody how to go fishing for peas!
The ladies are loving their new dig box! It is filled with moistened Eco Earth (so it’s dust free!) and I hide tasty bugs in it for them to find and eat! Yay enrichment!
Happy ratty girl Dory #Boggling (grinding her teeth to show joy) for your viewing pleasure! Do your rats Boggle??
Tomorrow is the big day! The baby boys are excited to be ready to go to their new homes this week and next!
I can’t believe it’s already time for these girls to go to their new homes next week and on the 22nd! They are growing into such fine young ladies and I can’t wait for all my parents to meet their newest little loves!❤️
Another fearless litter❤️ dory’s babies are perfect in every way and I expect them to turn into fine young ratties!
Sage doesn’t play when it comes to the good snacks! She says gimme da whole tube!
The way to a rat’s heart is through his stomach! The babies are leaving to go to their new homes this week and I am going to miss every single one of them! Just a reminder for all my soon-to-be rat mommies/daddies, your baby should be on a baby diet! I personally recommend Oxbow young rat and mice formula (easier to find at pet stores) or Mazuri young rat and mice formula (this is what I feed) until they are at least six months old. If you are not feeding Mazuri, I will include a bag of transitional feed. Snacks I like to give my babies include: boiled eggs, chicken baby food, raw pasta noodles, and of course leafy veggies!
It’s safe to say that boiled chicken is a fan favorite with the babies!
I think Dory is part squirrel the way she stashes her food 😂❤️🐀 although rats are fossorial animals (meaning they like to dig tunnels) they do enjoy climbing as well! Make sure your ratties have the option to do both as seen with our layout consisting not only of 6 inches of deep bedding with hidden tubes/tunnels underneath but lots of rope toys and perches!
All of my girls are excellent mothers.. But they are my babies first and foremost 🖤
Do you know what Boggling is? It’s when a rat grinds his teeth together because he is so happy/content. It’s a rats version of a purr! ❤️
