Solàna took a big girl step today and allowed me to halter her! We even had our first mini grooming session ground tied. I’m starting to think that our goals are achievable!

I had a HORRIBLE experience with selling this stellar mare to a horse trader (that I was thankfully made aware of) so I ended up purchasing her back for more then I’d initially sold her for so I’m giving it once last try before keeping her.

18-20 year old, 13.3hh, grade pony QH cross.

This mare has been with me since June of last year. She’s been nothing but a joy to have. She will do anything you ask of her. Trails, arena work, ponying kids, loading in trailers, etc. She does have a cataract in one eye but the vet has said she’s had it for majority of her life so she’s very used to it! She sometimes holds her head sideways while riding.

She’s the same mare after sitting for months. She is more woah then go but she’ll give you what you want. She prefers to be turned out with my donkeys and pony gelding rather than the bigger horses because she is NOT alpha mare. She will be bullied if she’s turned out with the more “dominant” horses.

Reason for selling: She is too small for me. I consider myself selfish for keeping her because she’s had a very solid foundation put on her at some point. She deserves to be utilized by a child or small adult who can give her the attention she deserves.

In no rush to sell. I’m fine with keeping her to live out her days if no one is SERIOUSLY interested. A forever home is a must. Buyback contracts will be set in place.
