Hey Dane Lovers and friends,
I need your attention and help for a couple of beautiful 1 year old, harlequin Dane boys.
Guys, theses boys are not Springfield Danes babies, but I have decided that there are some times you have to step in and help out if you can.
If anyone is interested, let me know. They are located in Red Oak, Texas.
I don’t know much about either of the boys since they are not Springfield Dane babies but I can get anyone interested in adopting contacted with their current owner.
They need our help and are beautiful. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting a Dane, not having a lot of funds and still have time to be part of training.
From my understanding, the boys are being rehomed due to financial hardships. They have done nothing wrong.

Rescued! Thank you for all the shared and help!

HELP NEEDED! We Need a family to rescue this Springfield Dane’s girl! Her owner is unable to keep her and she is 3 years old and spayed! She doesn’t love small toddlers but does well with adults, kids and dogs!
Please see the information provided by her current owner below.
She is from Springfield Danes very first ever litter in 2020. Quinn and Coalman are her parents and we are unable to take her currently due to in between homes!

“Her bday is 4/20/20, she is CKC registered. She is up to date on all her vaccines, with her yearly exam coming up soon. She is very kind and loving and gets on great with the older kids and the adults. Her only issue is the not liking the toddler. She has never bitten him, but I fear she might. What other information do you need? I appreciate the help, and it breaks my heart as well.
She is house trained and does great with other dogs. She has never been around cats. She self feeds from an 18 lb feeder, which I am willing to supply as we have 2 of them
She is spayed.”

Good Morning,
I’ve been dreading this post. It certainly gives me no pleasure. However, our loyal followers and friends deserve the update and the position to help if they are able.

It is our decision here at Springfield Danes, to take a “pause.” One of the major commitments we have made as a small in-home breeder that we plan to stand by, is to treat our Danes as family lifelong, and that is exactly what we plan to do.
That being said, we have some lessons to be learned and trying our best daily to be whole-hearted, decent people.

What are you saying, Cayla? Well, We are putting our commitment to our pet Danes first and having to take a “pause” on near future litters of any new Springfield Danes. We have learned that our beautiful stud, Davy Jones, while coming from one of the top Dane breeders for health, pedigree and temperament, has a hip disorder and is struggling. We have started him on hip and joint supplements, of course, and we are hoping it will improve his quality of life as he aged (He is 3 now). Davy was neutered last week and will live out his days as our handsome, good-hearted baby boy. His secondary role of beautiful stud, are over as quickly as they started. 😞

So, to further explain, we now have three retired Danes and two dams or females that are ready to be bred if they can be or, will need spayed and to live out their days. (Meli and Tallahassee). Well, we can’t breed either of these two girls without a daddy right? So, instead of getting another stud and having 6 Great Danes, we are standing by our commitment to put our pets first. Since Danes don’t have a long life span as it is, we plan to let Quinn (6), Coal (5), and Davy (3) live out their days together and as pets and enjoy life.

That being said, we are having to make more hard decisions and say, little Meli, our 1 year old AKC blue Great Dane pup, is seeking a new home to be a pet only girl. Since she is still a pup, we want her to have the best quality of life with (hopefully one of you all who loves and works with Springfield Danes), since she will not be able to be bred and we can give more time and love to our aging Danes for now.

Meli is still a playful, loving and mischievous pup. All the hard work of a pup is done including crate training, potty training, basic manners and solid vet care. She is a docile pup and loves her people hard. She is skittish to new people but loves people, kids of all ages and even other pets she tends to be curious about. 😊 I will make sure to update with additional posts about her shortly for any interested friends, but be sure to message us or respond below if you are interested in our beautiful pupper girl.

Now, Danes are not inexpensive and we do not intend to make any sort of monetary gains out of finding Meli the right home, but please don’t message me if you think you want a “free” Great Dane. She is not free and we will have our regular screening process to complete just like all our other pups to find her a great fit.

I hope you had a beautiful 4th of July. Luckily none of our Danes seem to struggle too much with fireworks but our children really love them of course. If you have questions, please message us. We are here to help and work with you still and intend to keep the page alive, well, and saved for our Dane community and future Springfield Danes when the time is right.
We are trying our best to be good, and decent people looking out for the best for our furry friends. I don’t know all the right answers but I am trying.

And just like that…. Our last floppy earred Great Dane for the 2023 year, has found and left for his forever home. We are truly honored to have served so many families and provide the extra joy of owning a Great Dane. We are committed to these babies life long and are still here for all of the families we have served, All 61 of them. We are so grateful and are already missing our
Babies. But, if you love ‘em, you gotta let ‘em go…. I always tell myself I won’t cry, but guess what, I’m ok with crying. 💔 it is a bittersweet day for us here at Springfield Danes. We love them all.

And last, but certainly not least, we have sweet Ugga, the AKC Great Dane, ready for adoption. All of her siblings have been reserved for homes and her last sibling is leaving on the 3rd of June. She will be heartbroken being alone! Have you always wanted a Dane but struggled to afford one? Our black beauties are affordable compared to their spotted siblings which are always inquired about. The last two available Springfield Great Danes are looking for their forever homes! They are 11 weeks old and ready to make “the best pet you’ve ever had” be your slogan for them.
Ugga will fight for her love and affection and will do anything to be near her people. She is so loving and affectionate.
Guy is as calm as they come. He is HUGE. He is the largest of the litter, doubling some of his siblings already in size. He is skittish at first until he warms up to you. He is breeder’s choice and one of our last babies available for this year. They are ready for the perfect timing of summer!

Ugga P-Update
STILL AVAILABLE!
Ugga is an AKC black, female, Great Dane puppy. She is a 11 weeks old, eating 3x a day and is ready to go to her new forever home! Ugga is a black pup, which is good, because it’s harder to see that she needs a bath 😜😂❤️

Her puppy fluff is mega soft! If you look closely, you’ll notice that Ugga’s eyes are brown. They will pop next to her black coat.
She does have white markings on her toes and chest. She is a lot less wrinkly than her sister, Dawn as well. She has a very American Great Dane look.

Ugga is extremely friendly and would make an excellent service dog. She wags her tail when she is afraid which is a GREAT way for a large dog to handle fear! She is naturally curious. She is playful, a giant girl already, and eager to please whomever she is around. She has the best disposition of the litter.

She has her dew claw removed, AKC registered, microchipped and comes from an entirely family oriented environment where she is played with by children daily.

Guy is an AKC male blue harlequin Great Dane puppy. He is 11 weeks old, happy to be eating 3x a day and is eating dry puppy food. Guy has an adorable black and pink speckled nose and is my personal pick of the litter. This boy is breeder’s choice of the litter. Picture do not do him Justice!

His puppy fluff is soft and it wipes clean so easily even though he is primarily white.
Guy has bright ice-blue eyes right now but they are capable of changing shades all the way up to 16 weeks. It is my belief that if any of them keep blue eyes, he is the most likely.

His blue and silver spots are thick throughout his body and makes him special/unique. As he grows he will be more and more of an eye catcher for sure especially being so large! He is LARGE! He will be huge and is the most CALM!

Guy is a very social little butterfly in addition to be a beautiful boy. He wants to be near the action, but has a bit of the cowardly-lion on there somewhere and is spooked easily. He has the most loving, gentle giant personality of the litter.

He has her dew claw removed, AKC registered, dewormed, microchipped and comes from an entirely family oriented environment where she is played with by children daily.

Sweet babes Dawn made her way to her new forever home today! We will miss her little face, but we are so pleased where her new home is right here local to Springfield and with a family she will fit right into. Lady Lambchop P-Update

LambChop is an AKC female harlequin Great Dane puppy. She is 9 weeks old, happy to be eating 3x a day, and is eating dry dog food. Lambchop has an adorable pink speckled nose and gets her name from her signature lamb puppet friend from back in the day.

Her puppy fluff is soft & it wipes clean so easily even though she is mostly white. Lambchop has blue eyes right now, but that could change up to the age of 16 weeks.

Her black spots are speckled throughout and makes her special/unique. As she grows she will be more and more of an eye catcher for sure especially being primarily white! LambChop would be a great show dog due to being virtually all black and white and having show dog pedigree.

LambChop is easy going, laid back and watches things from a distance. She isn’t a “follower” in the litter but she doesn’t put up much of a tussle either. “Go with the flow” describes her best. She may become an alpha female. Ready now!

Hey-yo Dane Fans and Family!
We have decided to run a special adoption event for our two black 9 week old, female Dane pups! We have dropped their adoption fee significantly and have made posts proclaiming their beauty and innocence, yet they have still been left behind while their brothers and sisters have begun making their ways home. I don’t want them to feel unwanted!

Those of you dreaming of having a Dane, but know their have higher adoption costs, this is your chance to receive all the bells and whistles their siblings have had (microchips, dew claws removed, AKC registration, family socialization, unconditional love, and terrific temperaments!) for a fraction of the cost simply because they are black.
