As this year comes to an end, I’ve been doing a lot of quiet reflecting. This year marked my fifth year as the owner of a small-town pet grooming business, and there are moments where that still feels unreal.
What started as a dream built on faith, hard work, and a whole lot of love for animals has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of. Being named one of the top grooming businesses in Tennessee was such an honor.
This year brought growth, loss, joy, and lessons I didn’t know I needed. We started with 8 personal dogs, grew to 9, said goodbye to a few, and now we’re at 6… and even added a sweet donkey along the way. Loving animals means opening your heart fully, knowing that sometimes it will break.
There were long days, hard moments, exhaustion, and yes, a few bites but there were also moments of pure purpose. Quiet victories. Wagging tails. Deep connections with clients who became more than clients. They became part of my story.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for choosing my small business, for trusting me with the ones you love most, and for walking this journey with me. I don’t take any of it for granted. I’m endlessly grateful for this year, and I’m stepping into the next one with hope, humility, and a full heart.
