Pet-A-Groom is a full service dog grooming shop on Jefferson Ave in Springfield, Il. In addition to basic grooming services, like baths and haircuts, we offer medicated shampoo & conditioning treatments, nail grinding, and teeth brushing! We groom your pet to your specifications each time to make sure you and your pet are as happy as possible with their groom. We take time to listen to your reques

ts and we won't do anything that puts your dog in distress. We care about your pet's well-being and do everything we can to ensure their comfort. At Pet-A-Groom, we want your pet to be as comfortable with us as they are at home, so all pets are kept separated from one another.

Sometimes the best opportunities in life are the ones you never see coming…

As some of you may know, I am a Brand Ambassador for Sharp Edges Grooming, a role that I am so proud to have, but honestly I’m more of the accidental brand ambassador lol…

I’m not some big grooming influencer. I’m just your everyday pet groomer who happened to start chatting with customers at the Sharp Edges booth, at a grooming expo because Dennis Brooks and Tonya Brooks were busy, and I just wanted to say hi to them. Someone was looking at the same shears I use every single day. One conversation turned into a few sales, and before I knew it, Dennis and Tonya asked me to join their team and it’s been one of the biggest blessings of my career.

I trusted Sharp Edges long before I ever became a brand ambassador because they carry products I believe in and provide exceptional sharpening services. But what makes me truly proud to represent them is the people behind the company.

Over the years, Dennis and Tonya have celebrated my successes, encouraged me through the hard days, supported my rescue work, and consistently gone above and beyond for the grooming community. When WILD took in a large neglect case and us groomers came together to groom them, Dennis and Tonya didn’t hesitate to donate the sharpening for all of our equipment so we could focus on helping the dogs. When I had to turn down an opportunity to compete because my daughter had a national pageant the same weekend, their response was simply, “Family comes first.” They even donated to her pageant fund instead.

Most recently, when Elizabeth was collecting donations for our local shelters and rescues, they didn’t hesitate to help again.

That’s just who they are.

Years ago, I swore I’d never work for anyone else again… yet here I am, incredibly proud to wear the Sharp Edges name on my grooming smock. They carry products I trust, provide exceptional sharpening services, and stand behind everything they sell. But more than that, they’re the kind of people who invest in others, support their community, and make a lasting impact.

Dennis and Tonya, thank you for believing in me long before I believed in myself, for supporting my family, our rescue community, and so many groomers along the way. Your kindness and generosity never go unnoticed.

I hope this little glam shot is a small reminder of how appreciated you both are. ❤️

To our amazing Pet-A-Groom Family,

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Your kindness and generosity have been incredible, and we are so grateful to everyone who has donated so far. The support you’ve shown for our local animal organizations means more than you know.

There’s still time to help! We will be accepting donations through Friday, July 17 for Animal Protective League (APL), Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control (SCAC), and WILD Canine Rescue!

This weekend, my daughter, Elizabeth, will be competing here in Springfield at the America’s Best Slumber Party Pageant, and we couldn’t be more excited!

One of the reasons I love this pageant system is that it teaches children the importance of giving back to their communities. Contestants are encouraged to volunteer and collect donations that directly benefit local organizations, helping them learn that making a difference starts at any age.

As many of you know, these organizations are especially close to my heart. I have the privilege of volunteering my time and grooming many of their dogs, so being able to give back alongside Elizabeth makes this experience even more meaningful.

As a small thank-you, any client who brings in a donation will receive a complimentary glam shot of their pup at their next grooming appointment! 📸🐾

Donations can be dropped off at Pet-A-Groom Tuesday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Thank you again for supporting Elizabeth, our business, and most importantly, the animals who depend on these wonderful organizations. Together, we’re making a real difference. ❤️🐾
