Meet our Referral Relationship Manager, Shannon! 👏

In this role, Shannon cultivates a positive relationship with our local veterinary hospitals and helps coordinate patients in need to be seen by one of our skilled neurologists.

Shannon has spent over three years in leadership roles within emergency and specialty veterinary medicine. Her journey began in 2018 as a veterinary assistant, and over time, her passion for specialty medicine and its impact on pets drove her to take on leadership responsibilities.

Shannon is excited to bring all of her knowledge, passion, and experience to BVNS Rockville, Leesburg, and Springfield and to help educate pet owners and local DVMs about all that BVNS offers.

Meet Kashi, a sweet 2-year-old French Bulldog who came to BVNS with wobbly back legs. After an MRI revealed a disc extrusion at L2-L3, we performed surgery to remove the disc material compressing her spinal cord. Just one day after surgery, Kashi was already on the road to recovery. Two weeks later, she’s thriving, only mildly paraparetic, and full of love for our team! This little fighter is already trying to do more than she should. We’re so happy to see her back to her happy, playful self!

Meet Rocky, a 3-year-old French Bulldog who came to BVNS Rockville after suddenly losing mobility in his back legs. He was in pain, shaking, and lethargic. Despite initial treatment, his condition worsened, and an MRI revealed severe spinal cord compression. With the risk of myelomalacia (a fatal condition) looming, his determined dad chose surgery. Rocky made it through a successful multi-site surgery, and after two weeks of tense recovery, he’s walking again! We’re thrilled to see him enjoying stroller rides and improving every day!
