A big part of a solid foundation is built outside of the arena. Bean stubble makes for a great space to test a c**t this time of year. Asking a c**t to move out in wide open space can be daunting to them at first, this is great β€œmental conditioning” and a good way to assess a c**t under minimal pressure.

These two 60 and 90 day fillies have spent plenty of time outside of the arena and riding out alone, they have become very comfortable doing so.

β€œCash” is a 14 yo grade gelding, he’s been hauled to about dozen rodeos in the calf roping, and is still green but handles the rodeo scene great. He’s ready to go in the breakaway and heeling. He runs hard, leaves flat and off your hand, and is quiet in the box. If you’re looking for a horse that rides around fancy and stays broke, he’ll fit the part. He has a big move but would be suitable for a handy high school kid on up. He’s seen tons of outside miles, been on the cutting flag, used to round pen c**ts, and lightly started on the barrel pattern.

I started this filly this past winter and got the opportunity to put some time on her the last month, she has got a cool move and will be an eye catcher in the roping pen for sure!
