Tomorrow is a bittersweet day for us here at TGR. Our ranch herd will be selling in the Bowie Texas Livestock: Consignment Horses Sale. These are the horses that helped us get going in this business and laid the foundation for all of the amazing horses we have today. We will forever be grateful to Larry Glass (Grandpa) for leaving us this wonderful stock. They have provided horses for our ranch and income to help get our performance endeavors off the ground. In an effort to focus more time and energy on our show mares and their breeding, the ranch mares will all be headed to new homes as of tomorrow. We will sure miss checking on these girls out in the pasture and the excitement of breeding season never knowing when you might go out to a new foal on the ground.
Ranch Herd Dispersal
In an effort to focus more time and energy toward showing and breeding our performance horses, we have made the decision to find new pasture for our ranch herd. Included in the herd is our ranch stud, Kiehnes Topboonsmal, and three mares each with foals by their side. The three mares have been exposed to our stud for 2025 foals as well and all appear to be bred. Contact us for more details!!
Once In A Holi Smoke
Here at TGR Quarter Horses, our horses’ road to the futurity includes all sorts of experiences. Today for Once In A Holi Smoke “BLACK BETTY” that was roping and dragging calves at Glass Ranches, Inc. annual branding !! She’d never had a rope swung off her before, but under the hand of Cassie Jo, you would sure think she was an old pro rather than a rookie three year old!
Bet On This Pepto 18 “FERN” got back in the arena today for the first time after having her A Vintage Smoke filly, Jo, back in February. This is what we imagine she’s saying to Jo to try and teach her how to behave in the arena… but baby girl isn’t too worried about listening to Mom with this newfound freedom !!!
