Bet On This Pepto 18 “FERN” got back in the arena today for the first time after having her A Vintage Smoke filly, Jo, back in February. This is what we imagine she’s saying to Jo to try and teach her how to behave in the arena… but baby girl isn’t too worried about listening to Mom with this newfound freedom !!!

If you’ve seen our last post, you know that the whole time Cassie Jo and Bet On This Pepto 18 “FERN” were working toward the Limited Open Hackamore national title, Fern was also working on growing this sweet little filly. What a gorgeous girl she is, but with a mama like Fern, we aren’t surprised 🤩

We were thrilled to have the opportunity to foal out the 2023 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧, Bet On This Pepto 18! She gave birth to a GORGEOUS blue roan filly by A Vintage Smoke!

Thank you to TGR Quarter Horses for trusting our team! We are excited to watch this filly, along with your stellar TR Dual Rey babies, grow up! 😍

Bet On This Pepto 18 “FERN” finally had her famous baby !!! She made us wait 25 days past her due date, but the long-awaited baby is here. She is a beautiful little filly.

This baby is pretty special because, as you can read in the article, she travelled with us all year (in utero😳), and we have joked that she is already a champion since she was there the whole time Cassie and Fern worked towards their national title.

Showing a bred mare all year had its complications, but Cassie did it with patience and grace. A HUGE congratulations to Cassie and Fern on winning the National Championship in the Limited Open Hackamore !!!

IT’S FUTURITY WEEK !!!

The moment we have all been working towards and waiting for is going to be here in just a few days!

We were so proud of Cassie Marshall and Reyzin A Ten “BETH” for placing 3rd in the Level 1 Open Futurity at the SRCHA Pre-Futurity a few months ago, and we cannot wait to watch them over the next few weeks at 2023 Snaffle Bit Futurity.

We pray that everyone has safety on the roads getting to Fort Worth and a wonderful futurity! Let’s do this thing👏🏽

Well the results were in a few weeks ago, but this FIRE photo is JUST IN🤩

Bet On This Pepto 18 “FERN” and Cassie Jo Marshall had a great week at the National Reined Cow Horse Association Hackamore Classic in Tulsa, OK. They came away with:

▪️2nd place Level 1 Open Derby herd work
▪️3rd place Level 1 Open Derby rein work
▪️5th place Level 1 Open Derby
▪️5th place Limited Open Hackamore

This duo just gets better and better, and Fern consistently proves how capable she is. This mare has stepped up to everything we have asked of her, not only showing while being bred, but excelling at it. She has all the talent, temperament, and eye appeal we could ask for in a show mare and is a vital asset to our breeding program as well.

Another happy customer story, and we love to hear it !! TGRJusgivemeareason “Pink” went home with her new owner a few months ago, and we just received these pictures of her with this message:

“She has become the sweetest and goofiest 2 year old I’ve ever seen. She is truly the best horse I could’ve asked for. Everyone at the barn adores her. Thank y’all again for everything!”

We love hearing updates on how our horses are doing with their new owners, and it looks like “Pink” has found a wonderful place to call home.

This is what we love to see!! One of our favorites from our 2021 foal crop, TGR Girlnamedsue, went home with her new owners recently.

After making the 11+ hour drive home to Tennessee, we received a message saying that “she is doing really good and has settled in beautifully.” After her first farrier experience, her new owners said they “could not believe how willing and sweet she was… could not be more pleased!”

It is our pleasure to raise horses that will make our customers happy for years to come, and we love hearing about their good experiences!

“Rounding out our list of open derby winners with a 427.5 worth $597.98 was Level 1 champion Cassie Jo Marshall on TGR Quarter Horses’ Bet On This Pepto 18 (Bet Hesa Cat X Ima Fern Believer x Peptoboonsmal).

‘I loved the laid-back atmosphere, and the show ran really smooth. It was just a memorable show,’ said Marshall. ‘This was my first Level 1 win with higher overall scores than ever before. This mare is actually bred so that was fun to win on one, and hopefully have a little champion inside. I couldn’t do this without TGR Quarter Horses. They’ve done a lot for me.’ “

‼️ SURPRISE ‼️

Bet On This Pepto 18 is in foal to triple crown winner A Vintage Smoke 🤩

The plan was to flush Fern and have a recip carry for her. Well, we flushed her mid-February and did not get an embryo. With her show schedule the way it is, we didn’t get her back in until early April to start the breeding process over and attempt a second flush. To everyone’s surprise… she was in foal!!

With it being much too late for a flush, we decided to keep the foal and let her carry. We believe everything happens for a reason, and though we didn’t plan on her carrying this year, that’s the way it happened.

And we just KNOW this cross is going to make a champion !!!
