We recently took in two dogs whose story is ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐›๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ . Their owner passed away, and these boys were left alone inside the home for ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ ๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐  ๐๐š๐ฒ๐ฌ with no food, no water, and no one coming for them. ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿถ When we learned what had happened, we couldnโ€™t walk away, we stepped in and saved their lives.

Now that theyโ€™re safe with us, weโ€™re facing some ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ž๐๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐ง๐ž๐ž๐๐ฌ:

On My Way to Furever Rescue is a foster-based 501c rescue in the Greater St Louis area providing essential medical care, socialization and loving care to prepare pets for life with a family. OMWTF takes in dogs from shelters, breeder releases, and owner surrenders as well as strays. Sadly, Missouri tops the country for the number of puppy mills. Along with other intakes, OMWTF fosters former breeding mama dogs and helps them learn to be a dog.

Your generous gifts help dogs who need it most.
$25 provides one month of heartworm preventative for one dog
$50 feeds a dog for a month
$100 provides a dog with rabies and distemper vaccinations and a microchip
$200 neuters a dog, reducing the pet population by dozens or even hundreds of dogs
$300 spays a dog, reducing shelter overcrowding and decreasing the number of strays
$400 provides a puppy with all his vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchip
$500 begins treatment for a heartworm positive dog

Little Koda, of course. At just 6.5 lbs & almost 5 months, this adorable Shih Tzu is looking for his Furever family.

Koda enjoys romping with his foster siblings, but come nap time, he's all about those cuddles.

He's been raised with cats but when they run, the chase game begins.

Koda is working diligently on his potty training and almost there.

๐Ÿฆƒ๐Ÿฅง๐Ÿ‚ Heidi ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿฅง๐Ÿฆƒ

Miss Heidi has been busy this week. She wants to send a "Bark" out to all of the shelter and rescue pups, wishing them a Happy Thanksgiving.

This year, Heidi is thankful to be safely out of the mill and out of a kennel. She is hopeful that she will find her family in the next year.

Just like pumpkin pie, she is sugar and spice and everything nice.
