I’m expecting pastels, whites, black bibbed, greys and possibly appleyard & Snowy.

Pens are separated out by color & most parents are breeding quality.

This one hurt. A lot.

Sweet Pam was found deceased by unknown reasons last week. She was my sassy mama who protected her babies fiercely. She hatched 10 lovely ducklings on July Fourth. 🇺🇸

Her partner, Jim, still looks & calls for her. We’re giving him some extra pool time & peas.

A show-quality pair out of Payton Stewart line & a couple breeding quality females bred by Little Creek Call Ducks, that comes from the Cindy Rusk line.

I’m looking forward to seeing them mature!

Sweet miss Pam is getting her leg checked out. Ever since I’ve gotten her she’s had a limp and hasn’t gotten better despite epsom salt soaks. 🤞 Hopefully the doc can help her but I’m thinking it’s a deformity & nothing can be done.

*UPDATE * Doc confirmed that her right knee is turned in & that she was probably born that way. 💔

The 2 remaining eggs due to hatch today passed away this morning. They were gonna be a snowy & black bibbed.

It never gets easier losing these tiny, precious souls. I cry every time.

I’m down to 3 eggs with my first batch, set to hatch March 31. (This is very normal to have a low fertility for the first batch of eggs)

I have 16 eggs in my second batch, set to hatch April 9. All 16 are fertilized & progressing beautifully! I love seeing their little heartbeats. 💗

I’m expecting whites, greys, black bibbed & possibly snowy and chocolate pied.
