Today Diesel ate the adsorbent pad under chicken breast you buy from the store. We took her to the emergency vet immediately. On the way there we checked reviews and decided to change course to a new one because our first choice had us worried. This emergency vet was the best I have ever been to. They were extremely fast, considerate and informative. I highly recommend them if you're in the area and in need.

Emmy got to see her first deer hide a few weeks ago (normally ends with just hooves. She loves them). It was hilarious watching her nervously walk up to the hide wondering if it was gonna run away or pounce on her 🤣 she is doing great in training and is showing great potential 💪

Thank you Sublime Tracking for the photos and lines 🤝

We have been pretty busy lately with normal life stuff. But I couldn't wait any longer and did an extremely easy line for the new pup Emmy. We will be focusing this off season on getting her ready to find your deer this season. This was the very first line I did for her. It was just for my curiosity to see if she has any interest herself.

With hunting season coming to an end we are trying to practice and prepare for next year. This off season we will be practicing with the dog and the drone. No more having to choose which one you want to have out we have both. I am part 107 licensed also.

In the off season if you have a missing pet don't hesitate to give me a call.

This is a video of a single coyote trying to chase down a deer.

This hunter shot this buck in the guts and called before searching. This allowed appropriate wait times. Once on the track we only found 3 drops of blood in the 400 yards the deer went.
Good job Diesel 💪
Congratulations Matt on your buck 🤝

Shoulder shot recovered! Look at what his mechanical broadhead did to that shoulder.

We start diesel 6hrs after the shot. Finding a bunch of beds in the first 250 yards told us he was in bad shape. We jumped him several times and every time we're able to get a little closer hoping to put another arrow in him. Unfortunately after 2.1 miles he ran across a road onto a property we didn't have permission on.

27 hrs later after the hunter got off work he got permission and went looking in the direction the deer ran.
This is 36 hrs after shot. He finds this deer alive in bad shape. He was still in his next bed roughly 300yards away from where we last seen him. (Red x). Hunter was able to dispatch this deer.

I really wish we were able to catch up to him sooner but he had to gain permission before continuing.

Not sure if I'm able to put it in as a recovery but it does end well with this hunter being able to get his buck and the meat is still good.

Congratulations Butch Patterson 🤝
Happy you went looking and recovered your buck.

I thought the buck could have made a recovery after seeing him run off the last time but glad the hunter went and checked for confirmation.

We found this doe last night 12 hrs after the shot.
Liver/gut
Diesel was not a rockstar on this one unfortunately. She never got locked onto the correct line. Luckily she is very good at alerting to blood. I decided to sway her back and forth in the general direction we thought the deer went. Diesel would alert to blood when we got close to some. Normally 50ish yards between blood spots. This is how we advanced the entire line until we found their deer.

The thing about having a dog team out is we will do everything possible to find your deer. So if for some odd reason our dogs struggle we will grid the area with you. We are here to help.

When something doesn't feel right give us a call. That's what this hunter did when he felt good about the shot but could not find blood past 10 yards. Having a passthrough shot he was really confused on what happened.

I dropped Diesel 10hrs after the shot. She took us 510 yards through his heavy grid right to the deer. I couldn't be more proud. The hunter said "I couldn't have found this deer without a dog" one of the best compliments you can get while doing this.

The exit was plugged by the liver causing very little blood. We didn't see more blood until we were over 300 yards from the hit site.

We don't need blood to track and very little blood does not mean it's a non-lethal shot. Give us a call if things don't seem right.
