🚨 URGENT: BARON & EMILY NEED YOUR HELP 🚨FOSTERS NEEDED!!

These two sweet babies have been through unimaginable pain — and they need us now more than ever. Currently in Springfield MO

Baron and Emily were abandoned and tied to a shelter fence, left skinny, scared, and in pain. Despite their suffering, they stole hearts at the vet yesterday with their gentle, loving personalities. But what we discovered broke our hearts.

💔 EMILY has a puncture wound that went through her paw, causing a massive burst abscess. She’s also dealing with painful, swollen feet from walking on scorching pavement. She’s now on antibiotics, prednisone, and pain meds
💔 BARON was WALKING on a BROKEN LEG — a nasty, untreated break with bone chips. It’s healing on its own, so we’re hoping to avoid painful surgery, but he needs strict rest and a recheck in 10 days. He’s also on medication for pain, infection, and swelling.

💉 Both have received their shots and are ready to go into foster or foster-to-adopt homes — and they desperately need them.
🆘 These two innocent souls have endured enough. We are asking for:

Stella is a beautiful, loving Weimaraner with a gentle soul and a big heart. At 6 years old, she’s past the puppy phase but still full of playful energy and curiosity. She's incredibly smart — so smart, in fact, that she can open doors! While she doesn't enjoy being crated, she’s not destructive when left out, as long as she has a comfy place to relax.

Stella thrives around adults and would do best in a home with children over 8, simply due to her size and energy. She’s okay with other dogs once she has a chance to get to know them, but she’s not a fan of cats and needs a feline-free home.This sweet girl is currently on medication to help with anxiety, but her foster family has seen how regular exercise and routine help her stay calm and content — with the right home, she may not need meds long-term.

Pops NEEDS A HOME!! We are looking for an approved forever foster in the Springfield, Mo or STL Mo area or an approved adopter (no fee) to just the right home!
Pops was SUCH a good boy at the vet today. The vet says he is about 8 years old so that's great news. He is also HW NEGATIVE: More great news. He got a much-needed nail trim, his poor nails were over an inch long. We are getting estimates on having the lipoma on his chest removed. Yes, Pops is one of those lumpy bumpy weims but all the lumps are just lipomas.
He is now UTD on all his shots and has a microchip.
The saddest thing about Pops is he has been someone's dog. He has great leash manners, had obviously been to the vet before and likes people.
He went home with meds for his eyes; they are very red and itchy right now and Rimadyl for his hips. He walks just fine and loads up in a vehicle with no problem at all but when he is standing for a while he will start to sink down to take the pressure off his hips. We have started him on joint supplements and the Rimadyl will make him feel much better.
He is a very well-behaved boy, does not need to be crated, just likes to lounge around on his big soft bed, is housebroken.
He's a Sr. Citizen who is looking for that special retirement home. Requirements -soft beds, a nice easy-going household, a grassy backyard where he can go and smell the flowers, people who will fuss over him and treat him like a king.
Pops is currently in Springfield, Mo.

Zeus is a gentle, goofy 3.5-year-old Weimaraner with a lot of love to give! This handsome guy is great with kids of all ages and dogs of all sizes. He’s not been tested with cats, but his playful, friendly nature makes him a joy to have around.

HUGE THANKS go to a wonderful lady in SW Mo who saw this old fellow just sitting in a field yesterday. For 8 hrs he waited in the heat for his people to come and find him. They didn't come, but SHE DID.
He is in AC, had all the ticks picked off of him, a full tummy. comfy bed and will be coming to WWR tomorrow.
Poor old boy has what we hope is just a large lipoma and is very weak in his hind end. We will get him to a vet ASAP for a thorough checkup. How ANYONE could leave this sweet boy to fend for himself is beyond us.
