Whiskey and Blue had to be surrendered to Wonder Weims Rescue last night in an emergency 😔. Despite the sudden upheaval, they warmed up right away and are already giving sweet kisses. From trembling like leaves to melting into my lap, they’re a testament to the patience and empathy dogs need from us.
These two lost their beloved human a year ago, and despite their partner’s best efforts, they were on the verge of homelessness. In a single day, everything familiar vanished—I’d be scared too. But from here, it’s only up 🩷. Decompression is so essential, and today marks a fresh start for them.
A huge thank you to Kim Wiseifor dropping everything and flying to Neosho to get them in the dead of night and to Autumn’s Animal Oasis for giving them a place to stay.
