Start today if you have a dog who is not a fan of fireworks💥

Counter Conditioning is a great tool for reducing fear. In order for counter conditioning to work the dog can not be so terrified that it refuses high value treats. For some dogs medication is required to reduce the level of fear enough for counter conditioning to be used. When someone sets off random fireworks they can undo the progress these pet parents may have worked so hard at achieving because they confirm the dogs fear of fireworks if the dog does not have it's medication prior to the fireworks and has not reached the point where medication is not needed. Please save your fireworks for designated holidays or choose silent fireworks if you insist on setting fireworks off.
