Keep your pets inside during these bitter cold temperatures—unless they have their own little sweater collection and a personal heater! Even if they think they’re tough, no one’s immune to the chill... not even the furry ones who think they’re wolves❄️🥶

We have been made aware of a scam regarding Petlink microchips. Scammers will send an email saying that your pet’s microchip is about to expire and ask you to click a link in order to pay and renew registration. Microchips DO NOT EXPIRE and do not require payment to register.

Seal is still looking for a loving home. He still has so much love to give. He does require medical and medicinal support but his quality of life is so high!

🌟 **Meet Seal, A Sweet Senior in Need of a Loving Home** 🌟

Life can be unpredictable, and this gentle soul is now facing a tough journey. Seal is a senior dog who recently lost his beloved owner. Despite everything, he still has so much love to give.

At 10 years old, Seal may have some medical challenges, but don’t let that fool you! He is full of life, with a heart that’s as big as his spirit. He had a loving owner who took such wonderful care of him during Seal's senior years. Seal has Cushings, and he has been doing really well!

All he needs now is a warm, caring home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by love.

This sweet senior is:
🐾 Border Terrier
🐾 Loving and affectionate
🐾 Great with other laid back dogs, young, whippersnappers stress him out
🐾 Enjoys going for walks well on a leash
🐾 Enjoys hanging out in a fenced yard with his people
🐾 Mindful
🐾 Potty trained
🐾 Best suited for a home with laid back individuals, fellow senior pets or calm pets
🐾 Loving lap baby, as he was used to being the center of his family's world
🐾 Kennel trained
🐾 Neutered
🐾 Has been introduced to cats recently, was inquisitive and was separated by pet gates
🐾 Has not been around children, best suited for children older teens

As many of us know, older pets like humans develop medical issues. Seal was so fortunate to have an incredibly dedicated owner who ensured that as he aged, he received tip top care. He was diagnosed with Cushings and has done incredibly well thanks to his medication and routine checkups. He also takes Thyroid medicine. Lastly, he is on a prescription diet to keep his kidneys healthy and strong. He requires a vet check every two to three months for bloodwork to monitor his Cushings. The current average cost of his medications is $190.

Seal is staying with the designated caretaker by his owner when his owner began hospice. She would love to see him go to a loving home where Seal can be doted on like his past.

The caretaker would love for someone local to adopt him so that he may have the chance of continuing to see the doctor who knows his medical history so well. But she understands that may not be possible.

She is available to do a home visit with you and Seal. The ultimate goal is to find him a compassionate owner who understands and is able to provide the ongoing care for this adorable aging pup.

Even if you can’t adopt, sharing this post could help find Seal the perfect home. Every share makes a difference!

UPDATE:

Thank you to those who have offered to foster. Seal is staying with the appointed caretaker from the owner who passed.

I learned a lot more about little Seal:
He is a Border Terrier.
He is sweet as molasses.
He walks well on a leash.
He enjoys the companionship of fellow laid back doggos.
He can co-exist with cats but has a high level of curiosity about them which fellow kitties may not appreciate. If you have kitties and dogs where you use pet gates / baby gates for separation, that will be perfect.
Seal has not grown up around kids. Likely he is best suited for a family with older teens or no kids.
He loves being with his human. He is a loving companion.
He is on Kidney Rx food in addition to being under treatment for Cushings. These are medical conditions that must be managed (no skippy skippy of appointments with the doc). Seal is doing wonderful thanks to the continued care he receives.
The caretaker is willing to bring Seal over for a meet n greet. The goal is to find him his forever home.

Please do not call the clinic. Send a DM to our page instead.

One of our clients sadly passed away on Friday. They left behind sweet little Seal.

Seal is 10 yrs old, 20 lbs. He is a nice little fellow.

He has Cushings disease. He takes Vetoryl, thyroid, and ursidiol daily. Good on his meds.

Needs rechecked every 2 to 3 months.

Could you help us find him a loving home ?
