Tomorrow is the Cardinals opening day! To celebrate we've decided to do a bonus photo shoot this month!

We'll be doing the photo's tomorrow in observance of one of the most exciting days in St. Louis! 😃⚾️

Feel free to bring any extra props for you dog - any hates, bats, jersey's etc, and we will use them. The gear doesn't have to be Cardinals specific - if you are a fan of another team we will decorate your dog in that gear. 😊

With that said, there is no need to bring in any extra Cubs jersey's. We have plenty of p**p bags available here. 🤣

Pictures will be $15 and you'll get a printed and digital copy. They will be framed to look like a baseball card! 😊

Hey everyone this is Danielle just a quick update as I am in today still grooming. I came to check on everything last night and it didn't look great but it was very dark and I could not asses the damage properly, better safe than sorry with all the pups. After reassessment all of our interior and integral fencing is still in good shape we have minor damage to one canopy but it is not integral thankfully. We have some clean up to do but we shouldn't have to close past today to get everything operational again. Thank you to everyone for understanding and we look forward to seeing you all again next week. Richie will make another post before Monday for a final update on next week. we hope everyone continues to stay safe.

We will be closed today due to storm damage. 😔

I believe our neighborhood in Hillsboro was hit by a tornado. Luckily Leah and our kids were staying at my parents house in Sunset Hills. I remained in Hillsboro to care for our dogs - thankfully we are all okay!

We don’t have a basement and I was lucky to make it over to our neighbors house (with a basement) before things got bad. We heard the rain and within 20 seconds it was hail. And then everything got loud and the basement began shaking and dust was coming down from the floor above us.

When we assessed the damage trees and power lines were down everywhere. Thankfully, our house was not hit but we did lose most of our fence, parts of our back deck and the entire awning over our deck.

I tried to walk down our street and all I can see is downed trees. At least 30 feet worth of downed trees are blocking the road. And that’s just the small portion near my house. 😕

Danielle made it to Cool Runners after the storm to assess the damage and she believes some of the fencing is compromised. I’m hoping to get some trees cleared tomorrow so I can get a look at what needs to be fixed. And we will hopefully be back up and running on Monday 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Our March photo day is completed! The pups did great and enjoyed bringing a little luck 'o the Irish! 🍀😁🍀

We officially have a 2nd groomer! Dawn (the new groomer, not the receptionist) has been grooming for 35 years - or as Danielle says, "Longer than I've been alive." 😂

Dawn has moved here recently from Chicago, so she is a Blackhawks/Cubs fan 🤢 but we are trying not to hold that against her 😂

She graduated from the Midwest School of Dog Grooming in Chicago. And she specializes in smaller "fluffy puppies" as she likes to say 🙂

If you need your dog groomed, or know someone who does, please give us a call at 314-293-9889! Right now her schedule is wide open!

On a side note, if your dog is groomed with Danielle they will continue to be groomed by Danielle.

Daycare will be back open on Friday!.. Thankfully all of next week has warmer temps! 🌞

As many of you know, our longtime receptionist rockstar, Dawn, had a stroke this past summer. Thankfully she made a full recovery and she returned to work ahead of what the doctors originally recommended.

After the stroke, Dawn found a new doctor and he was reviewing some of the medical documents from her time in the hospital. A few weeks before Christmas he noticed a small lump on one of her lungs. He mentioned how there was a possibility it was cancer. They set up further testing for early January.

I can't remember the exact tests she had done but they did confirm that it was cancer. 😔

At her follow up appointment the doctor was optimistic about everything. With what he could see from the initial tests everything looked treatable and with surgery he expected her to make a full recovery.

He ordered a biopsy and PET scan to get a better look at everything. And today Dawn received the bad news that the cancer is in one of her lungs as well as her lymph nodes. It is also worse than the doctor initially thought. She is in Stage 3. 😔

I spoke with Dawn a few hours ago and she is determined to fight like hell. She's keeping her head held high and wants to continue with life as normal. She has the full support of us behind her and will still remain working when she wants to 🙂

But there will be stretches where she isn't here in the mornings as they have more testing to do in the near future until they develop a plan of attack.

So please keep Dawn in your prayers, your thoughts and any good vibes. She is hopeful to return to work at the end of next week.

We love you Dawn! And our hearts are with you on this journey! ❤️
