In Arlington with Toes, an absolutely lovable golden retriever, who just completed a two-week board and train program. Toes needed to learn a bit more about boundaries, basic commands, and how to be more gentle despite his charming and enthusiastic personality.

Over the past two weeks, Toes has shown tremendous improvement. He’s now well-versed in basic obedience, understands the importance of boundaries, and has become much more gentle.

It's been a joy working with such a sweet and eager-to-learn dog. We are confident that Toes is going to continue to excel with his mom and be the best version of himself. 🐶💖

Say hello to Penny, a rambunctious puppy who has just completed part 1 of our Puppy All-Inclusive Board And Train Program! When Penny first arrived, she was a whirlwind of energy, eager but without much knowledge of how to channel her enthusiasm properly.

Over the past 10 days, she has made incredible strides in learning the basics every well-mannered pup needs to know. Penny has mastered walking on a leash, she walks calmly, staying by your side instead of pulling ahead; basic commands, ‘come,’ 'sit,' 'down,' and ‘place’ are now part of her vocabulary; placemat/bed training, a skill that helps her understand boundaries and safe spaces; patience, perhaps one of the biggest achievements and a vital trait for any young puppy.

These skills not only make life easier for Penny but also enhance the quality of life for her family. With these new abilities, Penny is learning to navigate the world more appropriately, setting her up for a happier, more balanced life.

We're so proud of Penny's progress and can't wait to see her back for part 2 of our program, where she'll continue to learn and grow. Implementing these skills at home will make a significant difference, and we look forward to hearing about her adventures and achievements until we meet again!

We're thrilled to introduce Thor, the 95-pound sweetheart! Thor's family sent him to us for a three-week board and train because they faced challenges with his size and strength that made him hard to manage. From being difficult to walk to his enthusiastic jumps that could knock you over to his fear of strangers and unknown situations, Thor needed guidance to become the gentle giant he was meant to be.

Fast forward three weeks, and Thor has transformed marvelously! He's now a dream to walk, extremely reliable with his recall, and has learned how to manage his initial fears gracefully.

Thor's is a perfect example of how even the biggest pups can become the most delightful family members with expert training. We're so proud of Thor's progress and excited for him to continue being a fun and loving part of his family. Go, Thor!

Say hello to Kiba, our spirited Mini Aussie, who just completed our two-week board and train program. At six months old, Kiba was a whirlwind of energy, treating everything and everyone as part of his personal playground, even his older furry sibling.

But with dedication and expert training, Kiba has learned the ropes of being a well-mannered family member. He now walks beautifully on a leash and has significantly improved his behavior at home, making life much easier and more enjoyable for his entire family.

We're so proud of Kiba's progress and excited to see him grow into an even more wonderful companion. Keep up the great work, Kiba!

Meet Kira, an adorable 8-pound bundle of joy! When Kira first joined us, her irresistible cuteness had everyone wrapped around her tiny paw, but it was time for her to learn some important lessons in obedience and boundaries.

She came to us needing to understand limits and how to curb her enthusiasm (and barking!) in a more appropriate manner. After completing our two week boarding train program, Kira has mastered the art of being both cute and well-behaved.

She's now a fun member of her family, knowing when to play and when to settle, making everyone's life happier and more peaceful. We are proud of her and can't wait to see all the wonderful things she'll continue to do.

We're bursting with pride at Ridgeside as we update you on Jared and his progress! This lovable Bernedoodle has been a joy to watch grow since he first stepped paw into our Ridgeside K9 Puppy All-Inclusive Training Program as a fluffy little pup.

Jared is on the path to achieving his AKC Canine Good Citizen certification and is on his way to becoming a therapy dog. His training and gentle nature make him a perfect fit for bringing comfort and joy to those who need it most.

Witnessing Jared's transformation from a playful puppy into a dependable canine companion has been truly remarkable. Check out Cashew, a lively and spirited dog, who came to us with a few challenges that made daily walks and home life a bit hectic. He was always eager to greet everyone (and everything!) with a loud bark and had his own ideas about how walks should go, often pulling and making it uncomfortable for anyone on the other end of the leash.

But look at him now! After completing our two-week board and train program, Cashew has transformed into a much more manageable companion. His walks are now enjoyable, and his barking at home is under control, making life peaceful for his loving family. His owners are thrilled with the change and are confident that Cashew will now thrive on the bustling streets of DC. We're proud of you Cashew and can't wait to hear about your urban adventures!

Say hello to our youngest star, Miss Kay, a delightful German Shepherd puppy who has just wrapped up part one of our Puppy All-Inclusive board and train package.

Miss Kay came to us as a spirited little pup needing to learn the boundarie. She needed help to become a fun and well-behaved member of her family. After just 10 days with us, she's already showing fantastic progress!

She's learned quickly and is well on her way to becoming perfectly integrated into her home environment. Miss Kay will be back for part two of her training in a few months, and we can't to see her again.

Say hello to Loki, the handsome Doberman! From a rambunctious pup who could hardly stay still on a leash to a well-mannered dog.

Initially, Loki was quite the handful, always eager to explore everything at once, making leash walks a real task. After completing our three week board and train program he's a changed dog.

Now, Loki is not only fantastic on the leash but also a loving brother to the cat he once chased. His energy is still there, but his owners are easily able to manage him.

We are so proud of Loki's progress and can't wait to see what other amazing things he will achieve.

Meet Madeline, the sweet-natured dog with a heart of gold. Although she was a bit rough around the edges when she first came to us, her natural temperament was already awesome. We worked on her obedience training to smooth out any rough spots and enhance her beautiful personality. Since then, Madeline has made incredible progress - she's discovered that the world can be full of joy and adventure, and her confidence is growing by leaps and bounds. Say hello to Winston. Winston came to us with much joy and energy. He saw the world as his playground and every moment as an opportunity for fun. His adorable antics were a bit too much for his family and their patient cat, who just wanted some peace and quiet at home. after two weeks in our board and train program, Winston has truly become a star! He's still the same happy pup, but now he's also incredibly well-behaved. Walking him is a breeze, and he's a perfect gentleman at home, much to the relief of his family and even the cat, who's now a lot happier with Winston's calmer demeanor.

Meet Koko, the charming Mini Aussie. Three weeks ago, Koko joined us with a spirit as vibrant as his coat but needed a little guidance in understanding boundaries, obedience, and the fact that the world doesn't always revolve around him. Today, we're thrilled to share Koko’s post-training results:

Through a bit of patience and consistent training, we've worked on not just obedience but building trust and boosting her confidence across many environments. It's been a journey of small steps and big leaps, filled with moments of pure joy as Gucci discovered her own strength and courage.

Meet Jack, the epitome of sweetness and charm! Jack came to us with the goal of learning obedience, and boy, he has exceeded expectations! From mastering leash walking to understanding the power of "no," Jack has become an absolute pleasure to be around. But his learning didn't stop there – Jack even impressed us by learning to respect his sibling's cat food at home. With his cuddly nature and quick wit, Jack has not only transformed into a well-behaved companion but also a beloved member of his family. We're thrilled to have been a part of his learning journey!

Say Hello to Roxy, the spirited German Shepherd with a heart as big as her bark! Roxy used to struggle with her excitement and sometimes forgot her own size during play, but she's been working hard to become a calmer and more respectful pup. With dedication and training, Roxy has learned to be gentler around other dogs and her human sibling, and she's mastered the art of walking without pulling on the leash! Plus, Roxy's family is a Marine family, which holds a special place in our hearts. We're proud to support Roxy on her journey to becoming a well-mannered and loving companion, and we salute her military family for their service. Semper fi, Roxy!
