Finnegan and I are excited to share that our new arena will be complete by the end of the year! We upgraded our barn to be more functional with a wash stall, sliding barn doors and extended the arena to a full dressage court!
I can’t wait to ride down center line on my ponies!! 🐴

Some quick updates on the young horses.

Finnegan (2020 Monarch x Love is Here) got some great refresh this summer and is doing great in his training.
Valkyrie (2021 Pax Asgard af Pegasus x Love is Here) started and doing wonderful.

I love these young horses. They are so eager to come with me and explore new things in their training.

Age is just a number! Take care of your horse and they can continue to perform like the athlete they are!!

The 21 year old US bred Oldenburg N.A. gelding Wundermaske is not only the oldest horse across disciplines at the 2024 Paris Olympics
but also making a new record as the oldest horse in the Olympics ever and the sole U.S.-bred horse in the Olympic field this year!
Many U.S. eventing fans will recall the name Wundermaske as a former CCI5* partner of Sharon White,
earning two top-25 finishes at the then-4* level at Kentucky and Pau. Now Wundermaske made his Olympic debut
this weekend in Paris with Ecuador’s Ronald Zabala Goetschel.
Unfortunately, Roland and Wundermaske did not finish the cross country portion due to Roland’s fall at one of the jumps.
But it was anyway a great success for Roland and Wundermaske to make it into the top 50 of the international eventers.
And what counts is, that the Olympic dream became true for both of them.
Wundermaske has qualified for 3 Olympics:
- Rio 2016 - didn’t compete because of politics
- Tokyo 2020 - 2021 - didn’t compete because the rider got severely injured
- Paris 2024 - qualifies and gets enough points to compete

This past weekend, I took 3 year old (turns 4 in April) Finnegan for training at Prestige Training, LLC under the guidance of Jim Moore who praised his balance and brain as well as his solid foundation.
I’m tempted to keep him and ride him in eventing and dressage. He’s just a super nice horse!

CFS Finnegan was bred for sport! Jumping, dressage, eventing, hunting— he could do it all!

2020 Handsome, athletic Knabstrupper registered and inspected. Graded “Premium” with 9 overall and best young horse.
Finnegan has 3 impressive gaits, naturally very athletic, his movement is floaty and with incredible suspension.
He is a rideable young horse with scope to compete with an ambitious AA or a Pro. He would do excellent in any discipline-balanced and sure footed, long graceful legs to make fancy moves in the dressage arena, but also very aware of his feet- pops over 2’6 without a question.
16.2-3, some growth expected. He has excellent feet, wide and strong. Barefoot all around.
Finn was foaled with one spot on his hind quarters, but has developed more of the iconic spots over the past two years. He is everyone’s favorite bay show color - with tons of chrome!

Finnegan is a barn favorite, playful and sweet. Meets you at the gate. Great for vet, farrier, loads, bathes, ties.
He was started under saddle with 90 days, and is being maintained this winter with some lite handling and flat work.
Ready to move onto his new home and find his person.

Finnegan has been home a few days from his training, and we are getting to know one another as riding partners.
Having a 3 year old horse reinforces all the basic rules of riding.
It forces you to be accountable in your riding because you’re responsible to be clear and fair with your legs, seat and hands.

Finn has been quite amazing in his acceptance of my aides and we are moving with relaxation together. He’s a tall boy, but from the saddle he is just right and feels amazing.

We’ve only just begun-and I love it!
