These feral cats are so grateful to have heated houses to curl up in on this cold night.

We are currently helping a colony of eight feral cats, and we are incredibly fortunate to have a compassionate, generous, kind-hearted sponsor supporting them. This amazing person is covering the cost of spay/neuter, vaccines, and purchased warming shelters for the colony. You are a superstar — a million thanks for all you do!

At the moment, we have appointments scheduled for January at a low-cost clinic that works with feral cats. Unfortunately, there were no earlier openings, and regular vets are too expensive.

In the meantime, the cats are using their warming houses, which are set up on a homeowner’s deck, where they are fed every day — and will continue to be fed for life. We have also placed traps with the doors tied open so the cats eat inside them and get used to going in and out comfortably before trapping day.

Sadly, one of the cats had a litter about five weeks ago. Last weekend, the mother brought one of the kittens into a warming house. The homeowner immediately brought the kitten inside, took her to the vet, and has decided to keep her — despite already having five other pets.

Another kitten was found dead in a neighbor’s yard - either having starved or frozen to death. This is exactly why spaying and neutering feral cats is so urgent. They reproduce quickly, and kittens born on the streets suffer terribly from starvation, illness, and freezing temperatures.

While feral cats may never know the warmth and safety of living indoors, this colony is receiving everything we humans can realistically provide: heated shelters, daily food, and upcoming spay/neuter and vaccinations. For feral cats, this is the best and most humane life possible.

Please support feral cat groups wherever you live. They receive the least funding of any animal-related organizations, yet they face the toughest challenges. These cats feel hunger, pain, and fear just like we do. As humans, we have a responsibility to make their lives as safe and comfortable as we can.

Great news for Pit Bulls: Prince George’s County, Maryland has repealed a 27-year ban on "pit bull" dogs.

• The county spent millions enforcing a law that didn’t improve safety.

• The new approach focuses on dog behavior and responsible ownership, not breed.

• This matters for people caring for dogs and for communities who want fair, effective policies.

🐾✨ ADOPT ALBERT — THE BRAD PITT OF DOGS ✨🐾

Have you met Albert? No? Well brace yourself, because this handsome guy is so model-level gorgeous he really should be out there signing paw-tographs and starring in commercials.

Albert is a fun-loving, toy-obsessed, walk-enjoying, heart-melting bundle of joy.
He gets along wonderfully with both male and female dogs.

He is ready to strut his stuff right into his forever home and steal hearts like it’s his full-time job.

Please share so this superstar can find the loving home he deserves!

Bowie was adopted from us more than three years ago, and he has been living his best life ever since - truly the most spoiled, loved pup in his wonderful forever home. He even got to take some adorable holiday pics!

Beyond giving Bowie the most magical home, his mom has become a friend, a volunteer, a supporter, and a trusted source of advice. We are grateful for everything she does for the dogs.

Adoption brings people together who might never have crossed paths otherwise, and that is one of the beautiful things about it .... lifelong friendships are born through these connections. ❤️

Lilly sends her biggest thanks to the kind person who sent her this canned food from our Chewy wish list. She absolutely refuses to eat her kibble without some of this mixed in, so she is very happy and grateful! Since Chewy does not share the names of donors, we don’t know who sent it—but please know how truly thankful we are. Your kindness means so much and helps us more than you know.

If anyone else would like to help Lilly and Samson with their kibble or supplements, their Chewy wish list is linked below. We would be incredibly grateful for any support.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.

Stevie Adoption Update

Stevie was adopted two years ago and is thriving in his forever home alongside his feline sisters!

Before we rescued him, Stevie had been kept in a small kennel 24/7 at another so-called “rescue,” whose owner was later arrested on multiple charges of animal abuse and cruelty.

Unfortunately, their lawyer has managed to postpone the court date—where the plea deal must be accepted or rejected—twelve times so far.  The U.S. justice system is a disaster.

Yes, these are cats—not pit bulls!

We are a pit bull rescue group, but a local home has roughly eight feral cats they are feeding. At the start of the year, there were only two cats. Now there are about eight. We have contacted every TNR (trap/neuter/return) group in our area, but they are all overwhelmed with backlogs of colonies needing help.

We could look the other way and say, “We are not a cat group,” but these animals need help. If we do not step in, eight cats will quickly turn into hundreds.

We want to extend our sincerest thanks to the generous person sponsoring the surgeries for all eight cats. Vet care is not free, and without this support, we simply could not take on this project. Thank you for your kindness, your compassion, and everything you do.

Right now, the cats are getting comfortable entering and exiting the traps for food. Once trapped, each cat will receive:

Spay/neuter

Rabies vaccine

Distemper vaccine

Flea treatment

Dewormer

Ear tip

Abdominal tattoo (to indicate sterilization)
