⭐️Thank a Vet Tech - It's National Veterinary Technician Week!⭐️

October 15-21 is National Veterinary Technician Week, a time to celebrate, honor, & thank our veterinary technicians for their expertise, knowledge, and hard work!

Licensed Veterinary Technicians, or LVTs, are credentialed veterinary technicians who have earned their degrees in veterinary technology and have passed the Veterinary Technician National Examination to earn their title. In other states, they may have the title of RVT, CVT, or LVMT.

This week we are excited to recognize Emily Childers, LVT. She has been the LVT for the Cats of Homeward Bound for many years, and has devoted a lot of her time to this program. Our officers are very proud to have learned underneath her this past year. Enjoy a few messages of praise that are well deserved!

Brodie (aka Tiny Teeter) is an old soul. He likes loads of attention, snuggling up for naps, and snacks! His favorite tv show is the Golden Girls with his spirt human being Betty White 🤍. He loves everyone once he’s had a nice and slow introduction. For being a black cat he ironically spooks at everything but once he figures out you’re a friend he’ll love you forever! So far he’s made friends with humans, cats, dogs of all sizes, and a Guinea pig! Brodie’s favorite toys are teenie mice of all colors and he’s a big fan of the scratching post. He also is great for a nail trim, is fascinated with water, and will boost your mood any chance he gets with his purrs!

Aunt Bea is still looking for her furever home.🌻

Aunt Bea is a friendly ~5 year old cat who has had at least one litter in her past. She is very sweet and wants lots of cuddles and naps. She is very curious and loves to watch you cook. She is scared of dogs, so she would do best in a home with no pets or only other cats. She is very quiet at first, but with time she becomes more comfortable and is playful. Aunt Bea would make the perfect study buddy or work cat to keep you company.

Aunt Bea's adoption fee is $65, and includes spay, microchip, age appropriate vaccines, wormer, FIV/FeLV test, and flea prevention!

⛅️Cora enjoying this Labor Day weather⛅️

Cora is a 3 month old, spayed kitty who has 2 speeds - play like there is no tomorrow or can not be removed lap cat. Anything is a toy to her. She's not the biggest fan of being handled, but she always wants to be where the people are and will snuggle her way into your lap whenever you sit down. She's extremely happy to quietly enjoy your presence. Cora gets along well with both dogs and cats and would love a playmate in her new home! She might need a slower adjustment period since she is a little bit shy.
