Taco and Izzy are on the road to recovery! We just spent over $1,000 on Taco! His mouth was rotten and he got 15 teeth pulled!
After being nursed through his ordeal by Izzy (see previous video) and his foster mom, they are one step closer to their furEVER homes!
Next step....we have an $1,000 estimate to get Izzy spayed, her teeth cared for and two remove her two largest mammary masses. We'll be posting cute pics and videos of them in the upcoming weeks in hopes of raising enough money for her care and most importantly, catching the eye of someone who will adopt them together! Izzy loves him sooooo much and will break our hearts if we have to separate them.

When he had to go to the doctor to get 15 rotten teeth removed, Izzy was very worried!
She's so happy that he is back home and she has given him a thorough check up!
These two sweet seniors have been through so much! It's just going to break our hearts if we have to separate them so we are begging you to share them with anyone who may be able to give them a home together! Most people don't want to adopt one old dog, much less two! We will provide as much medical care as possible before adoption and are happy to waive their adoption fees for a family who can take good care of them.

Last week, we took in three very sad seniors whose owners passed away and they are in dire need of medical care! Izzy is the oldest and most in need! Ear infections, constant itching, cataracts and large mammary masses are the issues that we can see! Izzy went to the vet and got much needed medications to make her more comfortable. She also got some bloodwork done so we can decide the best way to help her. In one vet visit, we spent $430 on Izzy.

Meet Brenna and Blane, two of the most unique puppies around! Products of an accidental litter, their mother is a french bulldog and their dad is a coonhound. They were born on 10/22/24 and have been raised with children and other dogs! Happy, healthy, friendly and sure to stand out from the crowd at any dog park! This is your sneak peak at adopting a truly unique and precious puppy! (We have never had a mix like this and do not know how big they will grow to be. Our guess is medium but adopters should not have a weight limit in mind.)
Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. Patches is a 3 month old, merle heeler looking thing with a body shaped like a doxy! We don't expect him to be a very large dog, maybe a nice medium, 40-45 pounds!
Brennna and Blane are 3 month old, french bulldog/coonhound mixes! Yep, that's right! It's been confirmed! And we have no idea who big they might be but suspect they may be large!
As you can see, all three are happy, healthy, well socialized and sure to bring hours of fun and a lifetime of love to their new families!

Merry Christmas from Misty!
On November 22nd, Misty was surrendered by her owner while very very pregnant. At only 9 months old, Misty is just a baby herself! Less than a week later she gave birth to these little dumplings.
