These two female cats from the feral cat colony in South Chicago Heights are recovered and were released this morning back to the colony fully vetted so they cannot have any more babies.

2 cats caught from the TNR project Cooties Rescued Cuties is trying to help take care of. We have enough donations to TNR 6 more from this feral colony but need funds for at least 10 more additional cats. Each cat is $50 to fully vet them if anyone can please sponsor a cat that would be great. We have Zelle and pay pal but PayPal does take a few dollars for every donation made. 🙏🏼🐾🐈‍⬛🤔💕

Kitty 1-white cat with tiger stripes on its back is a female approximately 2 years old and
Kitty 2 the dark brown and black kitty is also a female and around 1 years old and the receipts are also posted so you know how your donations were spent. I will always update my posts to let our donors know where the money went and what cats we vetted 🙏🏼🐾🐈‍⬛🐈
Both cats are recovering at Cooties Rescued Cuties from anesthesia and will be released back with their friends in the morning. 🙏🏼🐾🐈🐈‍⬛💕

We will be trapping more on Monday. We currently have enough money for 9 more cats to be TNR’d. 🙏🏼🐾🐈‍⬛💕🐈

* please be mindful BEFORE you seek rescue for a dog that you had for YEARS that YOU do everything you can to FIGURE IT OUT. Check with your vet👩‍⚕️ to make sure the dog isn't ill. ( do you want to he messed with when your sick? Probably not. )
Seek training...yes YOUUU...seek training for YOUR Dog.

I will begin trapping the cats at the feral colony in South Chicago Heights tomorrow morning. I only have two traps still. If anybody has any traps that I can borrow to help with this TNR project if you could drop them off at the Rescue with your name and phone number on them so I can return them after everyone is TNR’d that would be amazing. We also need more soft canned “PATE” food for the cats as most have upper respiratory issues and have a hard time eating the hard kibble.
DONATIONS!!! Our communities have donated enough money to TNR 8 cats so far…there’s a minimum of 20 that I have personally seen. There’s a few litters of kittens and several other cats that people have sent pictures of that I have not even seen yet. We’re asking for $65 per cat and this includes spay/neuter, rabies, RCP vaccines, ear tip, and revolution treatment.

I guess Gotti had a rough day today lol

This is Gotti. He is an owner surrender that came to Cooties Rescued Cuties on June 21, 2024. Gotti was born August 25, 2023 and weighs 20 lbs. He was born with swimmers syndrome so his legs are weak and wobbly causing him to fall over at times while walking. His palate/ tongue is longer than his mouth and hangs out 24/7 so he needs to be monitored when he eats and needs to have several small meals throughout the day. He also needs to have access to water at all times. Gotti cannot be left unattended while eating. If he eats to much or to fast he can choke and possibly die. He is highly allergic to chicken and rice and eats Purina pro plan seafood and cod kibble in a slow feeder mixed with canned Purina pro plan sensitive skin and stomach. When Gotti falls into a deep sleep he may sometimes wake up and have a small seizure lasting less than a minute. He just needs you to talk to him and rub him gently and let him know you’re there with him and then take him to his water bowl to get a drink.
Gotti gets attached to his person and will closely follow them around and lay next to them. He is a cuddler and loves to lay in bed next to you at night. He has a great temperament and the cutest bark. He has several sores/cysts on his paws and between his toes. He was born with a crooked tail that currently has some sores and redness on it. He is dog, cat, bird and kid friendly. Basically he could care less about other animals. Gotti is not yet available for adoption as we are working on getting him medical care for his seizures and therapy for his swimmers syndrome. If you can please share him and help us get the much needed supplies and monetary donations to get the handsome young stud on the path to living his best life. His vet/food bills are currently at $400 and he still needs to be neutered next Saturday, July 6,2024. 🐾🙏🏼💙

Good morning community!!
My rescue, Cooties Rescued Cuties, in Steger has been getting several calls about a feral cat colony in South Chicago Heights. I won’t post the location because there are some evil people out there but many of you know the location I’m referring to. I drove down there yesterday and a small kitten was walking in the road. I witnessed a car try to run the kitten over so I pulled over to save him. The kitten turned out to be a boy, 6 weeks old, covered in fleas, high temperature, double eye infections, URI and only weighed 1 lb. A neighbor stated that they found 9 dead kittens in his yard.
As many may know there is a HUGE problem with animals being dumped daily. This colony has had 50+/• cats and kittens in it at one time. Rescues and shelters will NOT take feral cats unless they’re able to be held and pet. Most if not all of these cats are to feral to make house cats so they ALL need to be trapped, fixed and released back to the spot they’re familiar with. Yesterday I counted 15 cats and today some of those cats were gone and dog weren’t ones were there but there was 12 I fed and gave water to. I’ve been told by numerous people that people are intentionally trying to run these cats over and some think someone poisoned some of them as well to kill the colony off.
My goal of this post is to ask the community to help me TNR this colony so we don’t end up with 5000 cats. Cooties Rescued Cuties will trap them and get them TNR’d but we need help with funding. We will need approximately $125 per cat to get them TNR’d and rabies, flea meds and possibly meds if they have a URI like the kitten I got yesterday. Here is our PayPal and Zelle if anyone can donate anything to help keep this colony from getting more out of control. We could also use soft canned and hard kibble to keep them all from starving.

The dogs that were dumped in Sauk Trail woods were spotted again this morning in South Chicago Heights. Momma is full of milk and I’m sure in a lot of discomfort. Please call me ASAP if you spot them or text me their location with a picture and I will come help them!!!

Soooooo do you still want to rehome your pets on these amazing “free to good home” pages??? Smh DO NOT wait until a day or 2 before the pet needs to be gone. If you start looking and making calls in advance you can hopefully find a rescue or no kill shelter to help out.
Here is just 2 examples. One cat and one family dog turned bait dog from those wonderful pages. 😡

For all those rehoming your pets read this..Do NOT just give your dog away to just anyone because it's convenient for you or else this can be just one outcome. There are others who like to find bait dogs for dog fighting as well. So really check references and grill them to death on questions.
This is Brodie. His previous owners rehomed him. Needless to say the past few months have been nothing but a nightmare for him. This is why you need to be SO careful when giving your pets away to a “loving home”!
You put up a good fight Brodie! RIP sweet boy! 🌈
