🐾 Meet our Team 🐾

Carmen Brothers has spent the last decade tirelessly working to reunite pet owners with their lost pets. Her love of animals has taken her across the United States and into the hearts of countless families. She has been featured in National Geographic's "Trackers" TV series, as well as a variety of other media outlets across the United States.Carmen currently resides in Virginia with her four tracking dogs, K9 Magic, K9 Trix, K9 Rose and K9 Finley.

Linda Shaw, who joined us in 2021, brings along her fantastic K9 partners Lily, Bayou, and Shelby.

Next up is Jamie Bozzi, who has over 20 years of experience as a certified professional dog trainer, canine behavior consultant and an AKC Nosework judge. Jamie and her team, K9 Indy and Zero, are based in California and service the Palm Desert area.

John Roth has been working with Professional Pet Trackers since the spring of 2020. John and K9 Goose are known for their compassionate and dedicated approach when working any case.

Megan McDaniel is own newest addition. She came to Professional Pet Trackers after having lost her own cat & had help recovering him with Carmen & K9 Rose. Megan is our very own “Director of First Impressions” - handling the intake forms, scheduling, as well as the hands on follow up post tracking.

💥💥 We are a little late on posting, but wanted to make sure send a big 𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘 to 𝗧𝗔𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗛 in 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗙𝗢𝗟𝗞, 𝗩𝗔.

The story of the 𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗘 that managed to survive several nights on his very own, captured the hearts of people throughout the 𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗧𝗢𝗡 𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗗𝗦 area.

His mom Alex Olem went above and beyond for her boy .. and knew no quit. The ☝️ thing she did know, was that she was bringing Tavish home no matter what it took. 💥💥

🚨 🚨STOP—SCAM ALERT! 🚨🚨 Richmond Animal Care and Control is not alone in this!!

Please be aware that this is happening all over the country. If someone calls you claiming to be animal control or a veterinary facility- hang up, google the business, and call the number back yourself.

RACC has received 3 calls today from citizens saying they received a call from 804-646-5573 (our dispatch line), saying their lost pet has been found hit by a car and we need money immediately to start surgery.

THIS IS A SCAM. RACC will never call you asking for money and we are looking into fraudulent use of our number through City channels.

Please DO NOT engage and we are so sorry for this.

𝗕𝗢𝗚𝗘𝗬 in 𝗠𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡, 𝗪𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗡 is home safe after a very big adventure for a very little beagle!!!

𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 𝗕𝗢𝗚𝗘𝗬 was not stopping till they got their happy ending - and with a ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ five star dream team it was only a matter of time.

𝗖𝗢𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚: BRAVO, MAR Search Dog Balynda Brown and The Retrievers Devon Thomas.

And while we were slated to be heading North, we are grateful that ☝️ very kind FedEx driver noticed the beagle chasing him down the road … and took the time to stop, let him hop in… and then called the number on his collar.

🐾 TUCKER IS HOME SAFE! 🐾

This is why we do what we do! Tucker’s family did everything right - they listened, they stayed patient, and they followed every step of the plan. Their dedication is the reason he’s home safe today.

Tucker came back on his own because his family put in the work: they grilled, set up a liquid smoke & BBQ trail from his last sighting to the house, and then created a food trail from the sidewalk into the yard. But just as importantly, we established a perimeter.

That careful setup led Tucker straight into his fenced yard, where the gate was left open. His family was watching from the upper level, waiting for just the right moment. And when that moment came, perfect timing - one of them moved quickly from the front door to close the gate behind him.

Now, could Tucker jump the fence? Maybe. But we never take that chance. His family followed the plan to the letter: staying calm, waiting inside with the sliding glass door open, and allowing Tucker to make the choice - on his timeline.

A humane trap was set in the yard as backup, but in the end, patience won. His mom used calming signals, giving him the space to feel safe, and before long, he was taking food and treats from her hand.

And then, just like before - perfect timing. His dad rushed from the front door, into the yard, and closed the sliding glass door.

TUCKER WAS OFFICIALLY SAFE. 🎉

We see so many families struggle in moments like this, but Tucker’s family was nothing short of exceptional. They followed every single piece of guidance, never gave up, and as a result - Tucker is home.

Huge congratulations to this incredible family. Tucker hit the jackpot, and we couldn’t be happier for them! 💛🐾

🥰 We 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 a Happy Ending 🥰

After 48 hours AWOL, Tank is back home where he belongs with his family in 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗛 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗟𝗗, 𝗩𝗔.

16 months old, Tank got out an unlatched or recently broken latch in the back yard and took off into his neighborhood. A worried family member reached out to Russell Neff, local trapper in the Northern Virginia area and he quickly tapped Professional Pet Trackers to help right away. 🙏🏻

Linda Shaw quickly provided a 𝗙𝗟𝗬𝗘𝗥 and 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗗 on the process, hoping for a quick resolution. She encouraged extensive flyering, advising where to flyer and as always that flyers are the number one way to get what we all want: the true sighting.

She was ready to go with her K9 Team when the call came in- Tank had been picked up and was going to be transferred back to the family with local law enforcement assistance.

He was not far from home, it turns out, and this normally skittish dog allowed himself to be picked up. The family reports he is in good spirits and HAPPY TO BE HOME!!! Welcome back big guy! Family reports your wandering days are replaced with proper latching, GPS collar, and awareness!!

𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥, 𝗩𝗔 is sending a big welcome home to 𝗣𝗜𝗣𝗘𝗥, who was out gallivanting for 𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦.

18 month old Piper was adjusting to country life just fine …she had her routine and generally was a good girl sticking to it …until several deer caught her eye and it was just too much for her to resist.

Wasting zero time at all, Pipers family was in - whatever they needed to do to bring their girl home was going to get done.

Starting to feel a bit depleted, it only took one person to make this family whole again.

While on the ground tracking we make sure to do a “perimeter of negatives” - meaning no scent. With that said, these are not just random places we decide to check out- we factor in lost dog behavior and make sure to tell each family that while there may be no scent present yet, Piper could easily pop up here at any time.

Welp….. you guessed it. Piper had apparently been spending her nights reading “how to be a recovered lost dog” - and true to form, popped up where we had a negative marker at. The gentleman who lived there was well versed in what to do since we had been there the day before.

Welcome home Piper!!

𝗠𝗜𝗗𝗟𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗔𝗡, 𝗩𝗔 🚨 Sweet BB is still missing! $1000 reward for any information!

I also wanted to take this time to give a huge shout out to Carmen Brothers and Professional Pet Trackers! Carmen and K9 Rose have been out twice to help us find our girl and to confirm a sighting. When BB first ran away, we had zero sightings and zero leads. I had no idea pet trackers existed but Carmen was able to give us hope when things were looking grim. And has continued to follow up regularly, offer advice and confirm sightings.

I hope no one ever has to go through this - but if you find yourselves in our position, make sure to give Professional Pet Trackers a call! We are so thankful to have them on our team!
