It is with great sadness we announce that Julie passed away on June 3rd.

As many of you know she had been battling ovarian cancer for many years.
Julie poured her heart and soul into Little Diva Rescue and we would like to continue her rescue work in her honor. It will take us time to adjust but with your patience we believe we can continue to do good in the rescue world. “Save the Chi’s” as Julie would say.

We, her family, will keep you posted with any updates. Her phone number will continue to be the contact to use. Mr. Diva will be taking over.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a donation to Little Diva Rescue or your favorite rescue.

Lola’s 7th month update and lots has happened! Life is perfect for little Lola, she landed the perfect family, they love & adore her and super big news, Lola’s Mom & Dad just had a gorgeous baby boy named Dax, CONGRATS guys, and Lola is over the moon for him. This is the family she was meant to be with. 🥰❌⭕️🐕👑
Posted • My sweet 8 year old rescue chihuahua has decided that Dax is her boy and with every little noise and movement she goes and runs to make sure he’s ok. It’s the purest and sweetest thing I’ve ever seen.

Hunter getting a relaxing spa day with his foster mama Julie.
Hunter is an 8 year old Chi mix, weighs about 10 yrs old he is ready & waiting for his forever family, good with kids & dogs, he’s most interested in being with his chosen human. Hunter is a velcro dog, he wants to be with his human as much as possible. I love all of my rescue dogs, all for very different reasons. I adopted only one, Gypsy. We have our old lady personal Chi’s and two 17 yr old rescue Chi’s, our forever divas’s, they live with us. It’s a crazy crowd & it works well.
The hubby, Mr Diva has fallen hard for Jack, and who can blame him, he is perfect, (Jack, not Mr D🤪)
I would love to keep Jack, if I weren’t sick but… The longer I spend with him, the more I love him.
I can tell he’s gonna be one of those very special dogs, the kind that changes people, makes them better people. A great dog for any situation. He makes you fall in love with him, that’s his superpower!

Day 3 at Diva headquarters and Jack is much more relaxed & comfortable with us. By scrolling back a few posts, you can see how it took him about 3 days to feel comfortable, with new people & in a new environment.
When getting a new dog, you have to go very slow and let the dog come to you, the results will be a calmer dog, if they’re given the opportunity to adjust at their own pace.🐕👑

Princess Tinkerbell’s 6 month update~here’s a little note her mama Michelle sent me. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
“She loves going on walks and car rides! She loves to guard the back patio. She's so funny with her barks. She goes burzerk over pup cups. She'll whine while we're waiting our turn in line. Then the barista will show her the cup and she'll start dancing and licking her lips! She loves the zoomies! She gets those a lot. Oh and she's stealthy too. She's an extremely good girl. The best company. And she loves to be on my lap. I'm incredibly grateful to you, your rescue and your patience.💜”

Posted • This is an X-ray of a dog’s bent front leg. See that tiny white spec? That’s a microchip! It has migrated down the leg....far from where it was inserted, between the dog’s shoulders. This is actually quite common.....

When lost pets are scanned, the entire body SHOULD be scanned to catch any that have migrated.

But, as an owner, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AT THEIR YEARLY VET EXAM, to ask for a quick scan to make sure that:

(1) the chip is still working,
(2) the location of the chip is good, and
(3) that the chip info is correct.

Remember microchips save lives and reunite families with their pet.... just have it checked regularly!

This is little Ladybug, the newest diva.👑🐞Ladybugs mama recently passed away, so we’re going to help her find a new forever family, so she can be happy again.
She’s absolutely adorable, she’s about 7 yrs old & 7-8 lbs. it takes her a few minutes to warm up to new people, but once you pet her she doesn’t want you to stop. Today was her 1st day here, so she was a little shy, but you could tell she really wanted to crawl into someones lap and just be held.
She’s a quiet baby, that would do well in a calm home, with lots of love to help her heal from her loss. She was an only dog before, but I think she would enjoy the company of another calm low key little dog or 2.

Jack LOVES getting attention from his foster mom, Marisa. He loves getting pets & massages. He’s the sweetest little boy. He saw our Vet yesterday for vaccines, bloodwork, and exam and tomorrow he’ll have his neuter surgery. The Vet said he was only about a year old, so he’s a little younger than we originally thought. Hunters foster family is on vacay for a little bit, so he’s getting to spend some extra time with us. Hunter is an 8 yr old Chi mix, weighs about 10 lbs, I would describe him as a confident , curious, healthy, friendly boy who loves other dogs but he loves being around humans a little bit more. Hunter has a funny cute little personality. I think he would attach himself to whoever adopts him, he would be a great little companion for either a family or a single person who would take him everywhere on adventures or a retired person… he’s a great little guy that would fit into most any living situation. One thing to know about Hunter, is that he likes to HUMP dog beds. I don’t see it as a negative thing, he doesn’t do it obsessively and if it bothers you, you just take away the dog beds.
