We are happy to announce three new additions to collection. These are Oophaga Pumilio Solarte. The Oophaga genus of poison dart frog is unique in that they raise their own tadpoles off of unfertilized eggs. The Pumilio species are a thumbnail species that reach about 3/4 of an inch on average. Ours are from the Solarte locale, which is an island in the Bocas del Toro archipelago in Panama.

Just really love their deep orange!  these little guys hopefully will start breeding in the next few months. Cross your fingers!

Check out these new cuties that just made it out on land! Our first tadpoles that we have raised are looking healthy and happy! As they grow older their colors will get bolder and brighter. Excited to see how they end up!

New Gecko Enclosure! We’ve been working hard to finish this bio active, Harry Potter themed enclosure for our sweet crestie Rey.

Exciting development- our D. Tinctorius Venessa tadpoles are starting to get back legs, and on this one you can see arms forming under the skin. Before long these little guys will be climbing out of the water and hopping up onto dry land!

Here is an update on how some of our eggs are doing. These are leucamelas-also known as bumble bees for obvious reasons as you can see their parents To the right- Mr T and Miss Kitty.

This is our first clutch from them, and a second one came just yesterday. We are guessing in a week they will start hatching and be ready for the tadpole cups.

We will continue to keep you guys up to date!

Proud to announce some new additions to our frog room! These are dendrobates auratus green and black dart frogs. The person we purchased them doesn’t know the specific locale but we are thinking they are Panamanian. We are crossing our fingers we get a good breeding pair!🤞🏼

Each of the different green and black dart frog locales have a bit different spots, and shades of color based on where they are from-sort of like a naturally occurring breed but they are still the same species. These little guys have a beautiful jewel colored green, especially in the light!

The one with the long black stripe down its back we are thinking of calling Stinky because it looks like a skunk stripe! What do you think? Lol

All of our first eggs have now hatched and are swimming around in their new homes!

Our new Vanessa tadpoles were delivered today! They made their journey all the way from North Carolina safe and sound.

We are so excited to be raising our first clutches of eggs! They grow up so fast. We will keep you updated which ones grow into tadpoles. They already swim around in their little bubbles!
We have turquoise and bronze, and cobalts.
