Happy Wednesday!

As we jump into higher temperatures, I wanted to remind you of some of the things you can do to help your livestock and pets. Remember when we're able to head into the house with A/C, our animals usually do not.

Some tips to lessen the heat stress:
1. Water down dirt pens to cool down areas during the hottest part of the day.
2. Keep pets and livestock off of concrete and pavement!
3. Make sure to start every morning by cleaning waters and making sure they have clean cool water.
4. Shade is a must for all livestock and pets during these times!
5. Consider adding Purina Accuration Sheep & Goat R+R Block to your animals' nutrition program. These tubs contain Tasco, which helps lower body temperature during heat stress, keeping animals on feed and performing.
