Country Pet Rescue is back at 8:40am with Pay It Forward For Pets!

Meet Marshmellow …

This sweet pup is just that - a pup! Guesstimated to be nearly 6 months old, this baby came in as a stray. Helpless and immature, Marshmellow was in danger as she attempted to navigate the streets. Thought to be a German Shepherd, she only weighs 21 pounds, and is greatly underweight for her age. She now resides in the shelter as she awaits the love and security of a forever home and family.

Life can be difficult, and very unfair, for domestic animals 😔. The shelter offers no life for orphaned dogs. Pets residing in a shelter are there through no fault of their own. After all, at some point, all dogs and cats once resided in the home of an owner. Pet ownership is a serious commitment. Dogs and cats are feeling beings with emotions and intellect. Handled casually, selfless pets become a casualty. Let’s change their fate … ADOPT, DON’T SHOP!

All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. Rabies vaccine and license included.

🐾🐾🐾 March on Down to Animal Control! 🐾🐾🐾

All March long, adoption fees will be reduced to $28 for dogs and $5 for cats! After all, there's no better way to enjoy the spring weather than with a furry friend!

All pets are microchipped, fully vetted, spayed/neutered, and dogs come with a 2024 Summit County Dog License.

Summit County Animal Control is open Monday-Friday 10am-6pm, Saturdays 12pm-3pm, and Sunday 1pm-3pm at 250 Opportunity Pkwy in Akron.
