We did it ! I PUT A SADDLE PAD ON HIM, well he didn't really care much but meh. I did some lunging and ground work. Brushed outside which was bad... Otherwise he was an angel 😇

Sunday March 24 (3/24/24)
Welp I think I missed some days 😥. But it's ok nothing out of the ordinary, we picked our feet and lunged for some time. Worked on keeping the lunge line loose and tight but not too tight and not too loose. We saw Lisa and Beau loved her and was even showing off his new cone toy! All in all he is improving a LOT and we will continue to keep going slow/slow ish so we can hopefully get on him mid/late summer!!! 💖

Thursday March 10 (3/12/24)
Today we had fun in the arena because SOMEBODY took the wrong vehicle and left the brushes at school 😂. It's ok we still worked on our feet and we did some in hand patterns. But the shedding season is here... Run while you still can....

Sunday March 10 (3/12/24)
Today we brought him in the barn and brushed him really good! We used every brusha and he even let me spray the mane and tail detangler in his hair with no fuss. We brought him in the outdoor arena and I practiced some in showmanship l. Did some in hand things. Then we went on a walk/trail ride. I tried to get him to react but no luck wich is good!

Thursday March 7 (3/7/24)
Today was kind of the usual lunging to sensitization picking feet. All all of the fun crazy normal things because we have the farrier coming and Bo is super excited but other than that the usual he's been doing super super well and I'm could not be more proud. Maybe if you didn't p**p so much maybe plus but you know at least his bowels are moving

Tuesday March 5 (3/5/24)
Today we worked on lunging a little bit of hula hooping some not being anxious when other horses are in the arena with him doing bad things work done, mining his own business and not looking in to see what other people/ horses are doing. Progress is showing and he's going to be a spunky dirty little kid

Sunday March 3 (3/3/24)
Today I brought him in the indoor and practice some lunging switching sides and I coiled the rope on his legs and around his belly. He wasn't so fond of it at first, but he kind of mellowed down. Then I grabbed a hula hoop and threw it at him after I let him sniff it of course but I threw it around him. I threw it on his butt but around his neck. Totally chill and he even picked it up a few times but when I grabbed the ball it was a totally different story. He just wanted to bite it so then I kicked it around and he was chasing after it. It was so cute but then he did not like it when I kicked it his legs trying to play soccer with him or when I kicked it under him it was fine when I threw it around him through it over him balanced it on his butt. Totally okay but when it went under him did not like that at all. But he's doing so good and I'm so proud of him

Thursday February 29 (2/29/24)
Today was his first time ever being tied up. He was not so fond of it at first. But once he realized that the cross ties were not going to bite off his face, he calmed down a lot so much so that I gave him a nice thorough brushing again. Because why not? It's winter and he is in all the grosses but he really enjoyed it. And then when I was done brushing I went out to the arena with him. Did a little bit of lunging mostly throwing the rope over him under him, coiling it around his feet again and then walking around and having a get coil around his feet too so he kind of would have a reaction but nothing seemed to face him except for when he hurt his brother cry out. Then he needed to go save him from the goblins eating him

Tuesday February 27 (2/27/24)
Wow what a day!!! I set up some poles and of course I measured them with my boot... We worked on his legs, coiling the rope around and walking through the cones that I also measured with my boot... But I got to lunge and he was phenomenal!!! Love to see him stretch! He is going to be such a pretty mover!!!

Thursday February 22 (2/22/24)
We brought him in the barn with zero drama! I gave him a good brush and his hair had never looked better! He lost a lot tho... But I got to brush his tail, legs were picked up and hoofs were picked, and his face... Ohhhh he was so good when I was brushing he just put his head down and enjoyed every second, until he was pushed back on the mat then he was a grumpy gelding. All in all he has made such good progress ❤️

Tuesday February 20th (2/20/24)
What a good day! Missed a few days but when I came he was pretty good. A little spunky at first. Trying to go play with the bigger horses cantering around in the arena but once he got his mindset on what we were doing he was pretty good. Took his blanket off. I worked on lunging a little bit going over some poles backing up moving out of my way. I am very excited to see what our future holds because I know that he's going to be a good little boy.

Sunday February 11th (2/11/23)
What a good day! We worked on his feet and coiled the lead rope around them and held pressure. We had a little lunging session and his good side is going left and his bad side is going right. He is so good when going left but likes to cut in and "run" me over when we get right. After that we went on a walk around the property for the second time ever and he was pretty chill till all of the boys crowded the fence and just wanted to play. We are making such good progress!!!

Thursday February 8th (2/8/23)
Today was terrible. It started to rain and thunder Beau was NOT having it. But we worked on lunging I guess I took my lead rope and kind of coiled it around his feet using some force so it would pop every once in a while. Was not having it in the first couple of tries but then after a while he got the hang of it and was like okay. Whatever he did keep on like moving which isn't the end of the world but not the best case scenario. Something easy to work with was actually lunging so sent him in a circle. He was not very spacious. He kept trying to cut into my space which was not going to work for him because personal space is important especially when working with a butthead. So we did that and kept doing it and then when I was lunging at him I asked him to stop. He stopped quickly and is on a good note. YIPPIEEE 🤩

Tuesday February 6th (2/6/23)
Today we worked on his feet and more feet. We had a few nibbles on me so he got corrected, feen was very interested in Beau's hoof so we showed her how to clean it. Overall it was good. I took off his blanket and brushed him all over with my curry but still not getting as much off as I would have liked. I picked up his feet and stretched them out. Had a good time with him and I definitely see improvement!!!

Sunday February 4th (2/4/23)
Today we had 3 little monkeys running around and OMG he LOVED THEM!!! The whole sniff them and try to run with them. We worked on picking up his heed because someone decided to be a little stinker from r the farrier. We picked up all 4 feet and stretched out the 2 front and held the back 2 out the the side a bit. But before that I'm took his blanket off she he could get a breather. We also worked on giving to pressure by turning his head while standing still. Lunging was fun but still need to tune it up!

Today was cool! Brought him in and walked around then took off his blanket and managed to pick his feet up and put them in front so he could get used to the fairer. He almost had a hard attack, the crazy lady chased him around with her jacket(like the one he wears...) And then he was lunged for the first time!!! And it was not bad, but he was good and we weren't dragged! Then we put his blanket on and took him out! And he got a new halter!!!

01/24/2024

Tuesday January 23rd (1/23/23)
Wow has Beau gotten big! What a big beautiful boy!!! He also got a NEW halter I took him ina nd started by walking around the arena. Stopped to pick out his feet 3 times again dad walked around and thrashed the bags around once we where done I took him out and when I took the lead off he kicked out at me but I corrected him to guess but all in all it was pretty good

Tuesday January 16th (1/16/23)
Today I worked on the basics, picked up his feet, touched his face, also my dad walked all around with the tretrous feed bag. I took him in and out of the door and he was getting spooky so I finished up and ended on a good note!

Same goes with horses 😂

Thursday January 11th (1/11/23)
Today it was probably one of the best days. In a while we went to grab him and he came right up to me. I brought him inside. It wasn't too cold outside but also wasn't like really warm out either. So work through that and then we walked him around and it was very very good for him to have other horses around him. We took them for a walk outside around the property and OMG Beau was an angel, he stayed by my side the whole time and did not freak out. Once we where inside I walk from around and I put his blanket on and Alyssa's help and he did not freak out at all skeptical at first but we work through it. I had him 3 months. So much progress already ❤️

Tuesday January 9th (1/9/23)
Tell me your committed without telling me. I'll go first, I came out in the middle of a snow storm to work with my foal. Anyways he came right up to me in the pasture and came in really nicely, Nash got a little too close and gave him a reminder to back off. He went through the gate nicely though the door we walked around and trotted a lap. Picked his front feet twice and his back feet once

Sunday January 7th (1/7/23)
And I worked with well. I had a couple other people there. Alyssa, Morgan and doc's owner. It was actually really fun. I got to pick up his two front feet twice but the back feet was a little iffy and I only got to that once but I also brushed him all the way around and he would actually seem to enjoy it quite a lot. I also got to take him over some poles and he seemed to really enjoy that too. It was actually really good day. Not as much progress as I'd like to see but still some programs

Thursday December 21th (12/21/23)
Merry early christmas, My early Christmas present was a purple halter from ridge Creek tack. I love it so much. It is absolutely a phenomenal Christmas gift. I brought it out to the barn. Put it on bow chocolate for a spin, and I absolutely love it. I have a whole lot more control. It is the For not halter and I absolutely enjoying it so much and it will help a lot. I brought him in he was being a little stinker. Coming through the gate. I have no idea why but may he spent a lot of time walking him in and out of the gate? Because he's being a little stinky face. But once you've got that, we brought him in. And we worked on picking up his 2 front feet because he decided to be a little p**py, and had a whole lot of chips out of his feet, so he used to get his failure done. So I picked up the 2 front feet. Which which is a humongous milestone from where we first got him, couldn't even fairly touch him to being able to pick up his 2 from feet without a whole lot of fuss in which I am really grateful for and I am absolutely We also worked on a little bit of decent citizen because he was being a little skittish when Alyssa was around him. But we'll work through that and every horse is gonna be a little skinnish learned some new things on how to correct and being sketched how to get him to walk forward how to use my lead rope when I have him enhanced. And he's not being launched, which was really helpful. And I'm just overall happy with how today went. And really, really want to.
Get more progress so let's get out there more!

Tuesday December 19th (12/19/23)
Sooooo we missed a day BUT we didn't seem to have a big impact, still I need to work with him ever other day. Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. But today was good, he came to me in the pasture and we had a little trouble getting into the indoor arena but we got it with some convincing. We walked around and dad even touched him with a brush all over and it was quite funny! Dad was unsure at first but soon he got the hand of it. Alyssa was there and joined in an helped dad jump, clap, and spook him. He was still a little confused on on why we did what he did but, whatever.

Thursday December 14th (12/14/23)
Today was a terrible day... Bringing him in was good but as soon as we started walking around you could tell he was in anxious. But when Alyssa and I started to move around him jump make noise use a broom things started to go downhill pretty fast. He ended up kicking at Alyssa almost hitting her and in a way I let him get away with it because I didn't correct him enough but I did a little bit but not enough. And when we brought the broom out he was very hesitant and kept trying to get away from it even though he couldn't. But he kind of got it at the end. Not what I would like but he still new. There were sometimes that I almost bumped into people and final. I should be aware of my surroundings but sometimes it just gets tough. There were times when I couldn't grab my lead and I just interesting. Almost dragged but I didn't.(((((I have a habit of letting him get in front of me and then I am by his hip then yank and it is not safe and I NEED to stop and pop his halter or pop with the lead))))) Alyssa taught me that j can "helicopter" the rope in front of his face and then whenever he gets in front of me he will get p**ped and then hopefully get back beside me.

Tuesday December 12th (12/12/23)
Today was good! I brought him in and led him around the indoor arena, my dad set up some me cones and he had to check them out first. We walked around them and then my dad started to flap his arms in his jacket and Beau was going to die! He got over it but when we went to go see the p**per scooper that he has seen MANY times he decided this time was different so we jumped and set back a couple of steps but I got him back under control. I pet all around his face and nose and neck. Dad put on some Christmas music and danced around. After 30 minutes he only p**ped 2 TIMES!!! Less nervous!!!
