When we recognize and embrace these breed-typical behaviors, we give our dogs the chance to thrive. 💡 For retrievers, that often means:

Star has big feelings about strangers and new places, so when it came time to settle into her suite, we let her take the lead 💜🐾 Instead of rushing her, we made it a party 🎉 — with cozy enrichment, yummy treats, and plenty of time to decide for herself when she was ready.

At Do Better Training, we believe in giving dogs as much autonomy as possible while reducing stress every step of the way 🙌🐶 Because when dogs have choices, they build confidence, trust, and feel safe ❤️

Our sweet girl had emergency surgery about 2 weeks ago, but thanks to Dr. Petsche and the amazing staff at Loyal Companions 🩺✨, Bliss is back home, fully recovered, and enjoying all the cozy cat naps she deserves 🐱💤💓

We’re so grateful for the wonderful care she received and so happy to have our sassy little queen back to her happy self! 👑🐾✨
