Ruff, (Black Dog x Maverick), going through his rattlesnake training like a champ! ❤️

I do this with all of our dogs. Gus, Sula and Rooster, the newbies, have all been introduced to the frequent encounters with rattlesnakes. Dogs are the best alert because snakes have the best camouflage in our landscape.

With the fields freshly mowed, they’re having a hay day out there! This is a joke, but we go through this cycle a lot right now. The trick is to get it before one of them eats it again! 😅. It’s so important to worm regularly in the summer.

It always amazes me how someone or something is on your mind, and then suddenly, there they are, like Sweet Nattie . . .

“Nattie has been on lots of adventures this summer. Swimming, fishing, softball, bow shoots, and training for bird season. She’s still the most chill pup I’ve seen. But put a pigeon in front of her and she goes crazy!!🤪 I stopped counting how many compliments I get with people saying how pretty of a puppy she is. She is such a good pup. 🐶 “

Tate and Sula went with me on a round trip to Idaho Falls. Sula sat in front the whole way there and Tate on the way back. Sula decided she didn’t like the back seat all to herself so she parked herself on top of Tate. 😅 Such a patient Mama with her baby.

One of the best creative ideas to help local shelters and animals.

An animal shelter posted something along the lines of "if you are an adult and don't want people to know you are playing pokemon, we will rent our shelter dogs to you for $5 an hour so it looks like you are walking your dog." Haha, right? Here are some of the results so far:

1) They now have a waiting list of people who want to PAY FOR THE PRIVELAGE OF WALKING A DOG.

2) They have made so much money in "rental fees" that they have waived adoption fees

3) When the people renting the dogs are out walking, the post pictures of themselves playing the game on FB and Instagram. People are then coming to the shelter asking to adopt specific dogs.

4) On at least two occasions, people have called the shelter and said "Hey, i didn't think I wanted a dog. But me and THIS dog get along REALLY well. I'm not bringing him back"

5) The shelter currently has no dogs avaliable to rent, and there is a waiting list. Because all of the dogs have been adopted!! They are currently bringing dogs in from a different shelter to be "rented"
