°°The future of our breeding program°°

Here at Black opal ranch, we will be striving to breed top quality through each of our horses to create the best all around quarter horses. we are breeding high caliber prospects that are able to go above and beyond in anything and everything, from ranch, to track, to show ring.

All of our crosses are going to have solid foundation/cow/speed bred lineage to ensure that our foals are versatile! We will also be breeding and bringing back some of the classic older quarter horse lines to continue on the quality of the breed.

Cows? You got it!

Quick feet? Definetly
Solid built? Like brick houses.
Great minds? The best.

Each one of our foals will be bred to not only excel in anything that's thrown at them, but they will be bred to have solid bone/build to ensure better soundness through their careers, great minds, and all around clean health panels to ensure the genetic health of our future generations of offspring.

We have a few more mares coming in for 2023 to add some more versatility to the program(cutting, reining, foundation) but here is one of the ones we are most excited about;

In 2024, we will be pulling eggs from our racing bred filly, lucky lady lew, and incorporating her bloodlines into our program to add the speed and grit of racing quarter horses to our already quick and catty line up.

Big Names such as "corona cartel" "special effort" and "chicks beduino" will be joined with "driftwood" "peppy San badger" and "Poco bueno" to create the ultimate all around athlete.

One embryo will be from our own stallion "driftin diablo" and the second one is TBA but will be a racing bred stallion to create our own personal line of racing quarter horses.

We look forward to creating and showing some great horses in this program in the near future! 🤗
