Early this morning while working in my snake shack this one youngster clung to my wrist and so she stayed as I worked. The podcast I was listening to asked how do you hope the world sees you? Well here it is she’s called a Super Enchi. Enchi is a lightning, pattern reducing, intensifying gene and she is its Super form. So yeah let’s go with that!

Today is national Best Friends Day. This was taken yesterday at trunk or treat in West Ashley. Not one of them wanted to ride with out the other. How could I to say no to that when my childhood looked the same. Minus the saddle, lead rope and baseball field croud of on lookers. The collective consciousness needs memories like these!

Do you remember when we used to do this all the time? Find a cool bug and post it as a topic for discussion that is. Well, I miss doing it and there are a lot of fascinating looking creatures roaming amongst us this time of year. So let’s do it again! Has anyone else seen one of these lately? This is my first time. Rubeus has been getting around lately having fun with some of his friends. Cool Ray from the Stingray’s, Charlie from the River dogs, Bluey and friends, Blippi and even some babies! Thank you to everyone who come out to see us. It’s always fun to see old friends and meet some new ones. Our reptilian friends need help to stay warm so they can only stay out while the weather permits I know it’s sad when we have to say goodbye but thank you for understanding.

Its a great opportunity to where your costume one more time and hangout with some animal friends. Sheepy is not thrilled about costumes… she just likes going shopping and going out to eat with friends!

• Proceeds feed the farm, many of the animals

Did you miss it yesterday? Come out and visit us for day 2 at the Jedburg Junction! I wonder who will be there today? Cletus (the mini horse)did amazing on his debut outing! All of our bunnies and guinea pigs are surrenders and they love your gentle company!

How do you honor a mentor? By continuing the work and life he loved. By sharing and educating the next generation. By employing curiosity to create the space for compassion. Most of all by living the life you imagined. It isn’t always easy but I wouldn’t trade it either. Without knowing it at the time I got my first crocodile on the 15th anniversary of his passing. Maybe he thought it was time. Long Live the Crocodile Hunter

If you’re wondering why there haven’t been many posts lately. Here’s a few reasons. Check out the Dalmatian plantation! This has been a record-breaking year so far for us on the farm. The number of animals that we have taken in for both rescue and surrender now out number, our usual on Farm friends. Lots of time money and effort is being put into caring for and building accommodations for all of our new friends. If you would like to support the work that we do, please consider buying items from our wish list sending gift cards or making a donation, the link to our Amazon wish list is below, but if you think there is an item that we could use, please don’t limit yourself to items on the link. I will say what we are most in need of at present is the ultra 24 Multi species formula, as many baby deer will be with us for several more weeks until being released. I will continue to post fun videos of them, but fawns are definitely not the only creatures that now call us home. I will post individual photos and videos of them along with their stories. Many have come because of the result of controlled burns. They have a gorgeous release site just waiting for them as soon as they’re weaned. As always, thank you for everything you do to support us. We couldn’t do it without you! And yes, we a DRN certified big game wildlife rehab.

WOW 🤩 what an incredible weekend! Thank you Summerville family YMCA for allowing us to sponsor the Flowertown festival for the first time! There are so many people to thank; to all the amazing volunteers who came in droves (sorry I didn’t have enough shirts made) to ensure that people and animals alike enjoy their experience safely. I wish we took pictures at the end of every day of all of us together. I appreciate you more than you could ever know. You make my dream of creating core memories, experiences, and of course, the most important part overcoming your fear and realizing that you’re braver than you know a reality for so many families. To the Summerville Police Department for all they did for all the vendors, especially all of the officers who came by to visit. To all the newscasters who came for interviews, as well as radio stations and the post and courier. But most of all thank you to all the amazing people that came to visit and support our little Farm with all the surrendered animals who have a second chance to make a difference in children’s lives here with us. It’s you who make it all possible! The animals and I appreciate each and everyone of you, and your ongoing support. Merry we met and Merry May we meet again.
