Flynt getting some "heel" practice. He's very familiar with heeling so we're laying the ecollar on top to eventually get off leash freedom! While trained dogs can eventually be trusted off leash, it never hurts to have a backup for that "just incase" one off moment.

Frankie and Daisy came to Delta K9 to work on their leash manners and minor reactivity. During training they've learned how to loose leash walk, sit, and we've been working on curbing reactivity. They're doing incredible!

Training doesn't always mean obedience!
This is from an UpDog Challenge event in Sultan, WA a few weekends ago. Flynt is playing Time Warp, where he has to catch discs in specific zones. As you can see he's having a ball! Skadi began training with Delta K9 shortly after being adopted. Shortly after coming home she began showing some reactivity towards dogs and people. It's been a few months since training and she's thriving, continuing to improve everyday with the continued work her owner has put in!

Flynt working on his obedience at Home Depot. Here you can see him practicing heel and sit. The goal of trips like this is to teach him to be calm, neutral to his surroundings, and as unobtrusive as possible (even at nearly 100lbs of fluff). The goal is to have him ignore the people, sights, and smells around us and focus on the task at hand. He's allowed to look around, but has a strong reward history of being rewarded when he pays attention to me.

Board and Train Holiday Sale!
Board and trains are an excellent option for owners that work full time or are wanting a bit of a jumpstart to training. During a board and train your pup would come live in the trainers house for anywhere between 2-8 weeks and get multiple training sessions a day.
Between now and January 1st if you book* a board and train you’ll get 15% off, starting at $1,500 for 2 weeks.
*Deposit must be placed for dog to get put on the schedule by January 1st, but the actual board and train can start at any point in 2023.

Flynt is the newest addition to the Delta K9 pack! He came home back in April and is currently 6 months old! Flynt is part of the International Shiloh Shepherd Alliance Outcross program being half Shiloh Shepherd and half Belgian Tervuren. He will be competing in various sports from obedience, to agility, and potentially dock diving!
