Hi my name is Oakley. I am a best-guess shepherd mix with a lot of s***k. I love to eat, talk, play, and be by my people. I walk pretty good on a leash, sleep well in my kennel, and am doing very well on house training. I am about 5 months, weigh around 22 pounds and most likely will be >50 pounds by adulthood. I am very smart so I need a leader, please.

Jill Carlsen’s former foster update! We love updates!!

Baylor is doing incredibly well. he is super happy and has grown a ton. He knows how to play catch, sit for treats, lie down, come when we call his name. We started a week ago going to the dog park and he has begun socializing. At first, he is a little shy, but curious. He hasn’t quite played with others, but has certainly gone up to them and let them go up to him and enjoyed it. Now he jumps in the car instead of being afraid of going in the car. He will have a wellness visit in three weeks.
Thank you all for rescuing him, we love him dearly !!!

Nora not only had here eye removed, but also her right tonsil
She is resting and doing great

If you can't volunteer--donate! This is Nora, and she needs to have her bad eye removed. She also has a lot of broken teeth that need some attention. Nora was a stray and a kind man contacted Light Shine Dog rescue when she was hit by a porcupine! Their veterinarians took care of most of the quills. ARVSS took her in for the rest of her care. If you would like to help, any amount of a donation will be great! She will be ready for adoption after all her medical needs are done. Thank you!
