If you think it's OK to let frenchies play rough, jump on/off furniture, play tug-o-war, please join this group. It will change your mind!! Also, if you don't have pet insurance, this will likely encourage you to get it (and ensure it has IVDD coverage)!!

I've had a really hard time these last few weeks. Our beloved Movado came home in an Urn. The last place I'd want to see that beautiful soul. But....if there has to be a sliver lining..... we are introducing our new baby MJ (Movado Jr) . His coloring is so beautiful and his soul is even more perfect. (We kept one of Movado's puos). 🤗

The flowers are dead but I'm having a hard time getting rid of them because I feel like it's closing a chapter we don't want to close. Thank you to all of our 608 Frenchie family for all of your love! May our baby RIP!!!

My heart is broken seeing this post. For those of you who met him, he was pretty much the mascot for 608 Frenchies. He was always prancing around with a toy in his mouth. So proud of whatever he could find to show off. RIP my baby!!! 😢 😭

Ok....so what I'm going to share is both heartbreaking, and a huge lesson. God d@! # do I hate rope toys, by the way!!!!! In any case, our beautiful boy Movado is totally toy obsessed. He is such a happy guy he'd find a toy and run around with it in his mouth for hours if he could while the others chased behind. If he was left alone and not supervised, he might lay down, rip it apart and eat whatever it is that he was plating with, so he could NEVER be left alone with a toy! I mean never!! I know this!!! I'm very careful after getting several toys chunks out by using hydrogen peroxide, and some just came out the back end.

However.....yesterday he got in the house while I was out playing with the other dogs and got a small rope toy that the new puppies were playing with. I didn't know it. The short time he was inside by himself. He jumped in the pool, got the toy and ate it ...just that fast. I had no idea he had done it when I realized he was in the house and called him back outside.

Fast forward to 2 AM and all of the dogs were acting really funny and started barking and I found him lifeless on the ground. I immediately started doing CPR (started with chest compressions) as my instincts would tell me and I did that until I blew into his mouth and realized It didn't go anywhere. I stuck my fingers in his mouth and felt something blocking his effing airway!!!! No!!!!! My baby!!! Breathe dam #@!!!! I have no idea how long he had been without air. He didn't have a pulse but he was still warm. I screamed for my children and they woke up and helped calling ER vets for advice and Google ing the appropriate ways for CPR and breathing to make sure I was doing it right. I did CPR until I had no more energy and... he was cold. We lost our beautiful Movado. I was a 1/2 an hour away from any emergency vet and did everything in my physical power, but it wasn't enough.

The rope (and also a piece of a toy-where did that come from too??!!!! Ugh!!!!! 😭😭😭) won this battle.

The lessons here:

Dont let your dog play with potentially hazerdous toys unsupervised. You can NEVER be too careful!!

Know how to dog CPR.

Be prepared for the worst and have a plan.

Have emergency vets phone numbers saved in your phone.

Many of you have met this beautiful soul. He will be so tragically missed and I still can't believe i'm writing this. I know better. I knew better.

P.S. **These last two litters will be the last of his** 💙 💛

Thank you all in advance for praying for us. It was very traumatic for all of us, but I hate that my kids had to partake in the life saving measures and we still don't have our baby!!!

You guys.....serious tragedy at the 608 Frenchies residence tonight. Please pray for us. My kids and I are shattered. We'll explain more tomorrow. For now.... we will try to rest since my kids have school in a few hours. 🌈 🐾
