We are saddened by the news that Ramsey, who recently celebrated his 14th birthday, passed away today. We are grateful to his human for giving him a life full of love and happiness. You will be missed, Ramsey.

Here’s Sami with an update on life in her new home: I've been here with my mom for a year! I've been out of my "condo" for months now and I moved into my mom's bedroom one ball and one bone at a time.
I love it here, especially the patio where I can see all the road traffic below.
My mom sometimes calls me Sami Seven because I'm her 7th spoiled Rottenweiler. She's not kidding. We'd go for car rides and she takes me to the beach to walk - a lot.
I still don't sleep with her; old habits die hard. I do sleep close to her bed so I can protect her 'cause that's my job.
Living up on a mountain is very very cool 😎. We go out to the back fence first thing in the morning and my mom takes a picture of the sun and then we go for a long walk. My mom and I are VERY happy!😃

Rottweiler Rescue of Los Angeles is a responsible rescue that makes realistic decisions about each dog who comes into our care. It is our responsibility to adopters and their communities to not place dogs who may harm other dogs or people. It is also our responsibility to ensure that we have only the number of dogs in our rescue for whom we can provide veterinary care, training, enrichment, and safe, clean kennels. Because we take these responsibilities seriously, we are not a “no-kill” rescue.

It breaks our hearts to have lost another RRLA alum to cancer. This is the last picture that Sasha's human took of her before they had to say goodbye. We know they will miss her, as will we.

"I’m visiting my God Parents. I love it here. They give me a pillow to rest my head on because I lead a very difficult life. We walked to UCLA to play ball, and then to Petco to pick out a toy. I know the route and can get there all by myself. I need a vacation from all this hard work."
