🐢🏑 How Fostering Helps Pets Find Forever Homes

Did you know fostering pets helps them adjust better to home life and increases their chances of finding a forever home? 🏑❀️

This , consider opening your heart to a furry friend in need. You'll provide them with the love and care they need to thrive!

The benefits of pet fostering:

1. Socialisation: Fostering allows pets to interact with people and other animals in a home environment, helping them become more comfortable and well-behaved, which makes them more attractive to potential adopters.

2. Training: Many foster parents work on basic training, such as housebreaking, leash training, and obedience. This makes the pets more appealing to adopters who may prefer a pet that's already had some training.

3. Health and Wellbeing: Foster homes can provide a quiet, stress-free environment where pets can recover from medical treatments, gain weight, and receive proper nutrition, making them healthier and more adoptable.

4. Personalised Profiles: Foster parents can provide detailed insights into the pet's personality, preferences, and behaviour, which helps match them with the best possible forever home.

5. Increased Exposure: Foster pets often get more opportunities to be seen by potential adopters through outings, social media posts, and networking by their foster families.🐾❀️

By fostering, you're not just giving a pet a temporary home; you're setting them up for a lifetime of happiness! This June, join us in making a difference.

I am absolutely thriving in this weather!! Our pets seem to love it too, but please do take a quick moment to refresh yourself on some summer safety when it comes to our pets. The touch test for ground temperature is easy and so helpful.

I'd like to draw attention to the very bottom of this photo, as it's super important. Our first instinct when we realise a pet is overheating is to go to the other end of the spectrum. However, too cold is too much! Think cool, not cold.

Did you know dogs can get sunburn too?? Enjoy this sun everyone but PLEASE stay safe.

Just checking in.... How lovely is it now that the sun has come to stay? This little man is so excited to be able to bask in the sun again after cuddling his heat mat/lamp combo all winter. Anyone else out there with not-so-typical pets? Bonus points for photos of the cuties!

I'm unavailable for sits the next two weeks, but happy to take bookings from Good Friday onwards! Lots of love, Lily xx

I know the cold has been daunting lately. It's hard to believe Spring and it's warmth will ever return, but it really is just around the corner!! As the sun comes out to play, so will we. Weekends away and longer days out of the house are inevitable. You deserve it, of course!!

Don't forget your loved ones at home, though. If you're going to be out for a good amount of time, I'd be happy to check in on them for you. The extra reassurance that they've had food, water, play, and love makes it easier to enjoy your time out. Catteries and kennels work for some, but your pet is most likely more comfortable by their favourite sunny window or curled in their own bed.

Go out, enjoy your life as the flowers start to bloom. Send me a message and I'll make sure they're cared for while you're away, happy and ready for you to come home. Whether it be a walk while you're at work or some daily pop ins while the family goes for a weekend away, I'm happy to help xx

Love,
Lily xx

Here are a few tips to help the night go a bit smoother for everyone. Remember, the more relaxed you are, the more your pet will feel calm and protected. Preparing ahead of time will help avoid the stress for your pet, and the headache for you. Go for an early walk, set up a relaxing environment, and remember to have extra patience. You are their peace when they're scared. Most importantly, have a happy new year xx
