Finally posting my entry and results in this year’s Federal Stamp competition, and while not a win, I’m happy to say we’re sure getting closer. Got all five “ins” for Round 1, and was leading half way through Round 2 with a 21, finishing Round 2 tied with three others at 21, and only two points behind the eventual winner. 15 of us made it to Round 3 (top five and ties), but I somehow went backward with a 16. This was my third time getting to the final round — a few years ago I was one of 7 in the last round, so hoping to make it work next year. They tell you their scan of your entry for online purposes is often poor quality, and mine was no exception, so I am attaching one more accurate. Also attaching a portion of the letter I just received, as they take the final round entries on tour for a year to various refuges and such to advertise the program and overall importance of the Federal Duck Stamp program. While not a win, it’s still pretty cool. Thanks to everyone for all the support, we’re doing this next year!
