Kimber.
We are sad to report that Kimber is not bred. Xray confirmed no babies. This is the second time she hasn’t taken, by 2 different males. I’m open to suggestions from experienced breeders and I’m considering a round of antibiotics as recommended by our vet. Everyone loves Kim, and her babies are just as loved as she is.

Things I didn’t know about having a lab puppy…
1. She is vocal. The scream when she doesn’t get her way is similar to a locomotive braking on the steel tracks.
2. If it’s inside, she takes it outside. If it’s outside, she brings it inside. She’ll go down to the bottom of the yard and make you come get her.
3. The longer the snoot, the more area for razor sharp piranha teeth. With the ability to fit my whole fist in her mouth. She chews on you more than bites.
4. She’s needy, hella codependent. If she can’t find Lexie, she screams (see point #1.) Who knew your lab puppy would need an ESA that’s a quarter of her size?
5. The floof?! It makes you want to hold her and pet her, she’s so soft, but then she breaks out those razor sharp piranha teeth.(see point #3.)
6. Those floofy soft ears? Yeh, they don’t work. She doesn’t listen to anything except the sound of food hitting the metal bowl. And I thought Bostons were stubborn?!
7. The growth rate. Her feet are bigger than the Bostons at 7wks old. She weighs 11 pounds. The Bostons are between 10-20 pounds.
8. The clumsiness?! She’s a laugh a minute falling over her own feet it nothing at all.
9. Narcolepsy with a side of insomnia? Play for 5mins, pass out, stay up half the night. Girl definitely has her days and nights mixed up.
10. Watching her grow and her little pea brain develop is amazing. She’s the cutest, spoiled rotten floof ball. We’ll start working on training in the next couple of weeks or so, she’s still a baby and learning her place in the crowd. God love her bc she’s a mess!!

Tuna is 7wks and a floofy heifer.
Lexie is 10wks and Tuna’s emotional support animal. If Lexie gets out of Tuna’s sight, she makes a scene.

The babies (Tuna & Lexie) slept almost all night. Hallelululu!! It’s been like having newborns in the house! If one wakes up, both need to go out. Good thing they’re both so cute!

Weatherleigh
4 weeks. She’s doing wonderfully, she can be your sunshine as early as Nov 25th, but I would prefer hanging on to her until Dec 6th or so. Being a singleton and bottle fed, I feel she may need the extra socialization with the other 2 litters. We’ll play it by ear.
