Hello Beacon Friends. Jennifer, the practice manager here to provide a (lengthy) update.
First, we want to thank everyone who has called, texted and emailed to check on our team. It means the world to us to be part of such a loving, tight knit community. We are so grateful to each and every one of our clients and patients. We miss you all terribly!
Next, we are happy to report that every member of our team and their families are safe. Some of our staff members have suffered the loss of their homes, vehicles and belongings, but we are all SAFE. We are so thankful for our lives, as so many others in our town have experienced tragedy beyond imagination.
You all are wondering what's next for Beacon Veterinary Hospital, which is a question that we still don't have all the answers to. Are we planning to come back? YES! We are currently searching for a temporary location, and promise to keep you all informed on where to find us.
Ideally, we will rebuild right back at 101 Whitson Avenue, right in the heart of Swannanoa. But, as most of you have seen first hand as you drive down US70, we are dealing with many obstacles including an unstable building, obliterated parking lot and a large sink hole on the property. But, we plan to fight with everything we've got to be right back on that same corner to serve our wonderful clients and patients. Without you, we aren't Beacon.
It has been a very emotional few weeks, and we are learning how to be strong enough to keep fighting, and we won't stop.
We are still monitoring our texts and emails and are working hard to answer your requests, concerns and questions in a timely manner. We aren't accepting voicemails yet, but if you call, you'll still hear my voice :)
I know I speak for Dr. Johansson, Dr. Ashe, Christine, Renee, Larissa, Kelsey, Lindsey, Anna, Angelique and Abbey when I say thank you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing beside us. We won't forget.
Much love to all of you,
Jennifer
