One question we get a lot is regarding the bulbus glandis on client's male dogs. What is it? Does it mean your dog is not neutered? Why is it there if your dog is neutered? Here is a good visual and some information from petmd.com regarding this tissue.

A structure called the bulbus glandis is located on either side of the base of a dog’s p***s. When a dog becomes aroused, the bulbus glandis swells with blood, creating two visible bumps beneath the skin. Erections can occur even if a dog is neutered. A full er****on may result in the entire engorged p***s and bulbus glandis extending outside of the prepuce.

This is why we do what we do. Grooming is a training process. Just because a dog is “bad” doesn’t mean they are. Grooming can be scary to a lot of dogs. It’s Our job to show them it’s okay and that we won’t hurt them or force them to do anything they don’t want to do. M favorite thing about my career is working with the dogs that are hard to handle and showing those dogs everything will be OK. Until one day get to this point of trust.
