Maggie the beautiful 7 month old cockapoo's very first groom, and what a transformation! After the first 5 minutes of wriggling and total confusion, she completely relaxed and was an absolute model client for every part of the grooming from bath to nails to clipping to drying ♥️ We could not have asked for a better behaved dog or a better first grooming experience for her. Kary had the magic touch with her, that's for sure! The younger you start regularly bringing your dog to the groomer, the happier and healthier they will be 😊

This is the community information board in our reception area, and these are just some of the wonderful local businesses who need your support now more than ever. Almost every local business is seeing a decrease in sales. Some are seeing significant losses. Some may not survive because the losses are so great. We hope that we will be among the lucky ones who survive and thrive once again, but there are no certainties.

Please please spend your money locally whenever and wherever you can. If we all do a small part we can make all the difference in the world to these businesses and families who are struggling on so many levels. **ACCEPTING DONATIONS AT BEST DAY EVER - 22 STEEPLE ROAD, IN FRONT OF TRACTOR SUPPLY**

The hurricane may have passed but the horrors will last for weeks, months, and years to come. We still need donations, and we still need volunteers to help us accept, sort, and distribute those donations.

I was volunteering at the new distribution hub yesterday and am in close contact with the organizers. The hub is very close to the daycare, so to make it easier for everyone YOU ARE WELCOME TO DROP OFF DONATIONS AT THE DAYCARE and I will load up my car and take them to the hub as they come in. Donations we particularly are in need of are:

- cold weather clothing and supplies (heaters, hand warmers, gloves, sleeping bags, tents, blankets etc) for adults and children
- extension cords, batteries, and flashlights
- PPE (rubber boots, goggles, masks, waterproof or hazmat clothing etc)
- vehicle repair supplies including tow ropes and bungees.

All donations are welcome but please ensure that used items are clean and in good condition, and if possible, please bring items in strong bags or boxes so that we do not need to repackage for transportation.

Volunteers are needed too. Feel free to reach out to us and we'll point you in the right direction. Every bit of help counts, even an hour or two.

And finally, please remember to SUPPORT YOUR SMALL LOCAL BUSINESSES. We need it now more than ever because we have all taken a tremendous hit. But we will get through this because we are ❤️❤️❤️

Don't forget that we are easy to find right next to 74, and have clean well water that doesn't need boiling (we did not flood), abundant hot water, flushing toilets, and power to charge whatever you need, so please come along to 22 Steeple Road in front of Tractor Supply and make use of what we have.

We are beyond blessed that we are able to be open SAFELY tomorrow and for the rest of the week. We are on well water which is safe, have power, are completely and easily accessible, and escaped miraculously undamaged.

We do not have wifi, but we do have power, hot water and a flushing toilet, so if ANYONE would like to come to charge devices, fill water bottles, freshen up etc, please come along to 22 STEEPLE ROAD (in front of Tractor Supply, next to the Exxon gas station at exit 85 on 74) any time between 7.30am and 5pm Mon-Fri.

Sarah is out of the country for the week, but her assistant Holley is holding down the fort and will gladly show you where everything is if you need to come use our facilities. It's not much, but we'll do what we can and what Sarah can organize from 6000 miles away!

Stay safe western NC. The horrors and devastation we are facing are almost unimaginable, but if ever there were a bunch of people who can handle this, come together, be strong, and fight our way through, it's those of us who are honored to call Appalachian NC home. We love and appreciate you all. Let us know how we can help, and if we can, we will ❤️❤️❤️

This is Bode. Today is his first day of daycare and he is officially our biggest kid on the block! He is a Great Dane, weighs 175lbs, is approximately 45 feet tall, drools at the rate of 5 gallons an hour, and his brain definitely doesn't communicate with his feet 🤣 He is SO HAPPY and that makes us happy ♥️♥️♥️

When running a doggy daycare it is VERY IMPORTANT that you scoot over and squish up in your chair as much as possible to ensure that the dogs are as comfortable as possible at all times.....because that's a job requirement, apparently, according to Big Ricky here 🤣🤣🤣

Yesterday we had our biggest kid here. Today we have one of our smallest. 4lbs of tiny but mighty Rayna whose absolute best friend is Amy the 100lb Doberman (closely followed by Lola the 145lb mastiff!). Letting the small dogs safely play with the large dogs benefits EVERYONE, because best friends come in all shapes and sizes, and there's nothing better than large dogs who respect small ones, and small dogs who aren't afraid of large ones! ♥️🐶♥️🐶♥️🐶

Yes, we have a BIG specialist bathing tub that can hold up to 350lbs, so bathing your babies together to help them feel relaxed and comfortable is easy.....unless it's two mastiffs 🤣🛁🤣🛁🤣🛁

Another great example of a wonderfully natured GSD settling into daycare on his first day without a problem. Jax is a young chap who hasn't socialized much, but he has a great temperament and just the right submissive but quietly confident attitude. Within half an hour he was following the pack and being followed, tail wagging, showing interest in play, and exploring everywhere - and he's even found his voice. It just takes time, a watchful eye, gradual introductions, and a great bunch of dogs, and before you know it they're all having their Best Day Ever! ❤️🐕❤️🐕❤️🐕
