Would you send your child to a school to be taught by a teacher that didn’t have any education or teaching credentials?

Probably not. So why would your c**t’s education be any different?

Slick was a c**t I started last year. His owner was loping him around on a loose rein and doing one rein stops at all three gaits after just THREE WEEKS and less than 30 rides.

The first saddling and the first three rides are the MOST important of your young horse’s entire life. Don’t just hope things go well, make sure they do by sending your c**t to be started by a Downunder Horsemanship professional.

TRAINING PROGRAM DETAILS:
• 6 week training program
• Groundwork/riding every day
• Obstacle course training
• Able to walk, trot, lope on a loose rein in the arena and out on the trail
• Stop off your seat at all three gaits
• Confidently stands to be saddled and mounted from both sides
• Steering and backing up with lightness
• Desensitized to clippers/tarps/fly spray/bags/log drag/cows and so many different real world scenarios
• Trailered off property for off site training
• Stand for farrier, confidently load/unload trailer, and so much more!

What a great weekend spent sharing the Method in Virginia! 💪

Saturday consisted of a groundwork only clinic at Homestead Horse Farm and Sunday I had a couple of lessons. It was so fun working with a wide array of horses and owners!

I am looking forward to coming back to this area in the spring.

After 7 weeks Scarecrow goes home🏡

He arrived very green and unsure of himself. His first reaction was to run first and ask questions later. He has made a huge transformation and I’m so excited for his future as a trail horse!

I am always extremely grateful for each horse I train. Each and every horse provides me with an opportunity to better myself as a horsewoman and become that much better for the next horse I train.

Late post.. but I had another great clinic this past Saturday with a group of hard working ladies. 💪 We were able to get through a lot of the Fundamentals exercises and spend some time on the obstacle course both on the ground and under saddle! 🤠

Clinics are a great way to better yourself as a horse person and work on your communication with your horse. I have a few clinics coming up if you are excited for your turn to attend!
