What is a Pyometra?
A pyometra is a life-threatening uterine infection in an un spayed female dog. It occurs when bacteria enters the uterus leading to the accumulation of pus.

Please if you have an un spayed female, monitor for these symptoms ⬇️

Vaginal discharge (purulent, foul-smelling)
Lethargy
Loss of appetite
Fever
Abdominal pain
Increased thirst and urination
Vomiting

She is an Oklahoma State University graduate and received her DVM at the University of Missouri.
