Combine senior, medical issues and pittie in a shelter and you have a dog with very little chance of finding a forever home. Thankfully, there are people out there that gravitate towards the ones that most people would just pass by. And that is what happened to Frank. His Mom just knew he was the one.

Most of Frank's medical issues have been taken care of, and we have helped with some ongoing care. We asked his Mom for pictures and to tell us about Frank and we just had to share.

Frank was formerly "Dali" at the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center. This is what his Mom has to say about him.

"Meet Frank, the senior pitbull with a heart of gold and a stomach that's always growling for cheese…, or really, any other yummy treat! This gentle giant is the epitome of a love ❤️ – his favorite pastime is cuddling(directly on top of you..), and he'll stop at nothing to get his paws on some quality snuggle time.

Frank's charm is undeniable. He's the neighborhood sweetheart, and everyone knows & loves him! Frank's best friends however, are my 2 cats – truly BFFs!!

But Frank's quirks are what make him truly special. He's INCREDIBLY food-motivated, which means that cheese is the key to his heart (and to bathing… ). Yep, you read that right – Frank loves showers, but only because they come with a side of cheese. All I have to say is, "Want a bath?" and he's off, jumping into the shower like a pro, patiently waiting for his tasty reward.
It also means I can no longer shower alone.., I inevitably see his nose poking through the shower curtain looking for some cheese…. but honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Frank might be a senior, but he's still got a sparkle in his eye and a heart full of love. He's taught me that life is too short to take seriously, and that a good cuddle (and a piece of cheese) can cure just about anything!!"

We are so happy that Frank found his happy ever after and are so grateful to all who donate so that we can help other dogs like Frank live happy and healthy lives.

We don't post every pet that we help on our page. In fact, we only post a fraction. There are many reasons for this. Sometimes, we just deliver food and/or supplies. Sometimes the families prefer not to have their stories told, and sometimes we get a request in an emergency situation, call in a payment and the pet passes away.

We know it is very hard sometimes to ask for help and we know that sometimes despite everyone's best efforts, that a pet won't recover. We never want to add to a families trauma, by posting a story that may bring additional stress to them during a difficult time.

We also know that by not posting the pictures and the stories, that we could be losing out on donations to help the next pet. We just have to work with that.

But, with that said, there are so many pets that we did help this year, whose families have given permission to post. On behalf of ALL of the families, we want to thank you, the community, our donors, the rescues and the organizations that have helped us, help so many pets and their families over the last year.

We have been able to provide food, treats, leashes, beds, and so many other supplies. We have paid for tumor removals and other surgeries, wellness visits, emergency visits, medications, and sadly in some cases, euthanasia. In those instances, we always want the family to have the cremains and a paw print of their beloved pet.

We try to do whatever we can to help a beloved pet stay with the families that love them. You have helped do that for so many families this past year.

Thank you from Chloe's Promises and the pets and their families of this community!!

Sweet Toby was having what appeared to be difficulty having bowel movements and sitting down. Mom was so worried about him but didn't have the funds for a vet visit. She thought that he may also have an ear infection.

We sent them to Harmony Vet Care to have Toby checked out. Toby got some medication for his ears and a voucher for a neuter and a complete checkup and is doing very well now.

Your donations allowed us to help Toby and his family. We thank you all for your support.

A family reached out to us recently that had lost much during the recent hurricanes. Their loss included beds for their four dogs. They also asked if we could help with food and some supplies. We were able to supply the beds, some food and some other goodies. They sent us this picture of one of their dogs enjoying their new place to sleep.

We are glad to help this family sleep a little better at night. Your donations are making a difference for the pets and their families in our community. Thank you.

We have some great news about Kali! Harmony had a cancellation and was able to get her in sooner than her Nov 5th appointment. She went in last Tuesday. Of course Mom was on pins and needles all day, just like we are when we have to leave our babies, but Kali did great. She is left with only three teeth, but they are clean and Kali feels so much better!! Just look at the last picture of her today. She looks so happy!!

Because of your generosity, we were able to add to our donation to her bill and paid Harmony $325, which took some pressure off of Mom. As always, we thank you for helping the pets in our community. Your donations allow us to help families get the much needed vet care, food and supplies for the pets that they love when facing financial hardships.

Miss Kali has been patiently waiting for her much needed dental. She will be going to Harmony on Nov 5th to get her teeth cleaned and pulled as needed. Poor baby has lost another tooth recently. Dentals are very expensive procedures and Chloe's has committed $250 toward the bill. We will add to that if we can get some more donations in for Kali.

We appreciate your support as we do our best to help the pets of our community.

Recently we were contacted by Artemis' Mom. Artemis had a prolapse and needed immediate vet care. Mom got an estimate from the vet, and we knew we wanted to help, but could not take on the full bill. We had her contact our friends at FoHCAS who helped with a $300 donation and we picked up the balance.

Artemis was able to have his surgery on Wednesday and is currently healing. Mom will take him for a follow up tomorrow. Because of those in our community that give to our cause, we were able to help Artemis and others like him.

Times are tough for many pet owners. We never want them to have to surrender pets that they love and that love them because they are struggling financially. We want them to stay in their homes where they are loved and out of the over crowded shelters.

Please help us help the pets in our community whose families are going through rough times. We appreciate you all.

Duke is doing better every day under his families loving care. His next surgery is scheduled for September 3rd. Thanks to your donations we will be able to commit $500 toward his surgery. Our friends at FoHCAS will be able to help with $300. That is still short of our goal, however. Duke and his family would appreciate any additional help. They have been hit with double surgeries in a short amount of time and were able to cover the first one. They just need to get him through this second one. Thank you for your support.

Louie is continuing to recover after life saving surgery. He had a really close call. His family is so grateful for your support. They are still in need of assistance and if you are able to give a little bit, please call in your donations to: Apollo Beach Animal Hospital at 813-645-9567.

Here is an update from Louie's Mom:
"Updates on Louie:
Every day he is getting better and I see he is improving in different situations like now he is completely got back to normal eating and his behavior and energy level. His p*e situation is improving, he can hold it longer etc, however still need a longer time to p*e. I talked to the Dr. office and we decided to hold off with the blood work maybe no need at all - since his behavior and energy level etc back to normal and the only thing is still in process is a p*e situation, sounds like he needs more time recovering ❤️‍🩹

We are going back to the office on 08/20 to remove stitches."

In the meantime, Louie's brother Sharky is patiently waiting for Louie's full recovery so they can play together again.

Princess's Mom reached out to us because she believed that Princess had scratched or injured her eye. We urged her to get it seen immediately and said that we would pay for the exam and whatever else we could.

Princess was seen at Urgent Vet where she had the eye examined and was sent home with medication so hopefully she is on the mend.

We are struggling. We hate to say No because so many pets are in need. We are committing all that we can to the pets that have surgeries and procedures scheduled, but we are so far below where we need to be.

Please help us help the pets in our community.

We were recently contacted by Tiana's Mom for help with surgery on her eye. Tiana is a sweet little 10 yr old pug (Her 11th birthday is in just a few days!) and has been with her family for her whole life.

When the family moved from Puerto Rico a few years ago, Tiana of course moved with them, but the move seemed to exacerbate Tiana's allergies. She makes regular visits to the vet to try to keep them under control and keep Tiana as comfortable as possible.

As you can see from Tiana's pictures, Tiana has an issue with her eye. She is mostly blind, but her eye itches and Tiana will scratch it and it sometimes bleeds. It needs to be removed.

Because Tiana is in Pasco county and our funding is so low, we really can't contribute anything to help Tiana, but you can. We hope our followers will call in donations to help Tiana and her family cover this expense. We have included the estimate for surgery along with pictures of sweet Tiana.

Donations can be called in to Trinity Oaks Pet Wellness Center at 727-375-2882. Her surgery is scheduled for September 5th. Please help if you can.

Thank you.

Here is what we know about Kali:
She loves fluffy grass.
She loves the sun and to sit outside with Mom.
Fall is the favorite season for her and Mom because: sweaters!!!
And Kali is in desperate need of some dental work. One tooth is infected and has caused an abscess.
Mom took Kali to Harmony and they recommended that she contact us for help with the cost of surgery.
Kali is 15 years old and has been with her Mom since she was a pup. They have had a great life together and Mom sent us some great pictures. She said she has 100's more because Kali is her baby and they love their life together.
Kali will probably need to get her remaining teeth removed during surgery and we would like to help them with this bill. We have included the estimate from Harmony as well as some fantastic pictures of Kali with her Mom.
Please donate if you can.
