8/11/22 Rest In Peace my little man 💔💔 You were a part of our family for 15 years, living 16 long years. I can’t know how your life started, but I know you came to Florida from Ireland so I imagine you as a little guy who liked to travel, and living with me, that worked out well. You started out as a puppy for a spunky girl, but you quickly became my sidekick, bodyguard and most of all, my source of comfort through my illness. You knew when I was in pain and would come and snuggle, you had that special sense.
And smart- you were able to learn tricks, but only on your terms. Fast and nimble - you were a squirrel’s worst enemy, feared by the bunnies, and even a possum or two. Fetch the newspaper, yep! But, then shred that sucker to bits! Hate the doorbell and no hugging or kissing in your presence! And what dog loves to be petted while growling at the person kindly petting you? Oh, that would be you!
Thank you, Spike for being the best dog ever! Enjoy running without pain and seeing with perfect vision. I love you and I hope you’ll remember me if we meet again.
