HOW BORDER COLLIES CHANGED MY LIFE: We know that Border collies can inspire so many of you to take up new pursuits, or even a completely different way of life. And that includes Lindsey Williams, from Temple, Texas USA.

A former city dweller, she originally bought two BCs to compete in Agility with, “then a couple of years later we went to a sheep herding clinic,” she says, “and discovered sheep!". She then developed not only a passion for herding, but also photography – “as Border collies are such great dogs to take photos of.” Some of her pictures are featured here.

“I owe so much to an amazing man I met in 2018 called EB Raley,” she says, ”who was 89 years old and still training and competing with his dogs in trials. He gave me my first real working collie, Tom (pictured here), who is now 14 and actually a girl, and she ignited a new passion in me for herding. I have worked hard to learn the correct way to train working dogs and in 2019 we sold our house in the city and bought a 12 acre farm and started raising sheep for our dogs to work and train with. So these dogs have literally changed my life, and I now can't imagine life without them.”
