Busy day here yesterday! We spent New Year’s Day trimming feet and checking the sheep over! Doc may not be the best trial dog, but he loves the real work! #farmlife #farming #doglife #dogsofinstagram #doglover #dog #sheep
Cattle dog trial!
We attended the High roller Cattle Dog Trial today! We had a great time. It is Doc’s second Cattle trial. I was a nervous wreck! LOL.
I he did a great job but we ran out of time! Anyways I thought talked like to watch.
My first time driving the tractor! My son is a good teacher! I decided I better learn just in case there is a time they are gone and so need the tractor. #tractor #farming #farmlife #cows #cowsofinstagram #masseyferguson
Having a little fun with Mo.
Today Mo & I worked on outruns, lift, and his fetch. I added in whistles. These girls are good for this but are hard to drive. We will use the sheep in the back for driving. He really picked up speed his out runs and his fetches. I am trying to not lie him down to much, but let him learn his pace for the sheep.

Doc separating the rams from the bull getting ready to go to the sale barn.
#bordercollie #bordercollies #bordercollielovers #bordercolliesofinstagram #sheep #SheepFarming #sheepfarming #sheepdog This is part one of the trip to the sale barn! We need to keep fresh rams cycling through every few years. I dont in-breed my sheep I either sell the ram or all the ewe lambs, either way someone has to go.
New Puppy, and the Mountain Lion, and sheep.
Ciri is our new livestock guardian dog. Unfortunately, we lost one of our others to a tragic accident. We have found that four-guard dogs work best for our farm. My son and I saw the mountain lion in our neighbor's pasture, he has calved and she is usually around between November and February.
2022 Calender is here!
I am really excited about how out 2022 calendar came out! All photos are from the here and it is our dogs, sheep, & bees.
Most photos I took, a few were taken by a awesome friend of mine.
This is from our rescue mission last night. We named her Belle, her mom died yesterday. The farmer that had her could not care for her. I love taking care of lambs. So here we are. She is doing great today.

Medical care Care
Poor bathmat she can’t catch a break! We
Will have more video to follow. And let you know what we find.
Lots of new sounds
Outside patio time.
I am exhausted, I was starving & thirsty by the time we finished! But, it was a great day in so many ways.
Brittney and the kids came to visit 🎉🎉. And I got to spend the entire day with my dog, family, & my sheep! And It did not rain!!!
📍I am sure y’all are tired of hearing how great he is. I frankly don’t care. I never doubted him for a minute. I knew it was there, I just did not know how to find it. But with time he has matured. And I also am more consistent with my corrections and timing. I am not perfect but far better than I was a year ago when we started from Scratch. Thank you Jack for that.
I can’t tell you how many hours we have spent practicing and driving to take lesson. It’s hard when both dog and trainer are brand new!
I can tell you we have worked so VERY hard to become a team. I trust him completely and know that he has my back. It’s a great feeling.
Puppies are up and moving!!!
They are ready for the round pen!!! LOL 🤣
Busy Bees!
Hopefully we will have honey soon! I think the bees suffered a little with the cold Weather! But they look great now!
Puppy update!
Puppy update!!! All of them have almost doubled their birth weights!
Drone Practice with sheep and Doc
Okay, let's try this again. The last video I posted did not upload correctly.
Zach wanted to practice with his drone with the dogs and the sheep. He thought it would be cool to video runs for competitors of their runs if the sheep and dogs are not afraid of it.
Doc was not bothered by it, but the sheep were a little skittish of it at first. He is going to look into getting quieter blades for it.
I could also see this being a useful tool for training purposes, the drone will follow the dog and the sheep if you tell it to.
Maybe a little more practice and he will have it down.
Day 60
Zu update, puppies may be coming soon.
